Mehmet Akif Ersoy’un Safahat’ta Asım adlı eserinde kadınla ilgili bir olay ve Sıratımüstakim dergisindeki Müslüman kadını çevirisi üzerine

Abstract

Mehmet Akif Ersoy, şiirlerinde sosyal olaylara genişçe yer verir. Bunlardan bir şiirinde Safahat’ın altıncı kitabı Asım’da emekli bir askeri ele alır. Bu, emekli ikramiyesini aldıktan sonra birkaç ev alır, zenginleşir. Evine Rum aşüfteyi hizmetçi olarak alır. Evin hanımı da rahatını gözeterek önce, kocasının bu aşüfteye ilgisini görmezlikten gelir. Ancak emekli asker, bu kadınla ikinci evliliğini yapmak ister. Mahalle imamı buna karşı çıkar. (Nitekim bu olayda aynı zamanda döneminin mahalle yapısı ve mahalle imamının mahalledeki fonksiyonlarını anlatır.) Nihayetinde bu aşüfte ile evlenir. Maalesef bu kadın kısa bir süre sonra emeklinin bütün mallarını elinden alır. Böylece aile faciası ortaya çıkar. İkinci olarak Mehmet Akif, Avrupa’dan İslam dünyasını etkileyen modern kadın cereyanı ile ilgili olarak Mısır Cem’iyyeti Milliyesi Reisi Ferid Vecdi’nin “Müslüman Kadını” adlı kitabını çevirir ve Sıratımüstakim Mecmuasında yayınlar. Yazının ikinci kısmında bu çevirinin özeti yer almaktadır. Bu yazı, şairin kadın ile ilgili düşüncelerini de yansıtmaktadır. Her iki konu, Milli Şairin kadınlarla ilgili düşüncelerini içermektedir.

The Turkish national anthem poet Mehmet Akif Ersoy raised social events in his poems. One of them, in the sixth book Asım of Sahafat, was a retired soldier. After receiving the retirement pension, the retired soldier bought a few houses, and then was enriched. He hired a hussy girl at home as a maid. Considering the comfort, the lady of the house ignored his husband’s interest in her. However, he wanted to do his second marriage with her. But, the neighborhood imam opposed it. (At the same time period, Mehmet Akif described the role of the neighborhood imam and the neighborhood structure.) Ultimately, he got married with this lady. Unfortunately, shortly after, this hussy woman took away all the goods of this pensioner. Thus, a family tragedy took place. Mehmet Akif translated the “Muslim Women”, a book about the movement of modern woman in Europe influencing the Islam world, by the Chairman of the Egyptian Nationalist Assosiation Ferid Vecdi, and published it in the Journal of Sıratımustakim. In the second part of this study, these translations are included briefly. They reflect the poet’s thoughts about women. Both subjects contain the National Poet’s thoughts about women.
