Türk edebiyatının ilk çocuk şiiri kitaplarında savaş teması

Abstract

Tartışmalı bir husus olsa da Türk edebiyatında, çocuğun bir edebiyat nesnesi olarak fark edilmesi, çocuk dergilerinin yayımlanması, çocuklar için edebî ürün verilmesinin Tanzimat’tan sonra olduğu yaygın bir görüştür. Çocuklar için şiir kitaplarının yayınlanması ise daha geç bir zamanda II. Meşrutiyet’in ilanından sonradır. 1911’deki ilk çocuk şiir kitabı ve cumhuriyetin ilanına kadar yayımlanan diğerlerinde savaş ve çocuk ilgisi/ilişkisine dair çok sayıda şiir bulunmaktadır. Neredeyse her kitapta buna dair bir müstakil bölüm bulunmaktadır. Bu şiirlere günümüzün pedagojik anlayışı ve çocuk algısı açısından bakıldığında, çocuk eğitimi ve ruh gelişimi açısından mahzurlu olabilecek çok fazla ideal, hayal ve düşüncenin şairler tarafından çocuklara öğretilmekte veya tavsiye edilmekte olduğu görülür. Bu çalışmada; Türk edebiyatındaki ilk dönem çocuk şiiri kitaplarında savaş ve çocuk teması bağlamında değerlendirilebilecek kahramanlık, millet, vatan, askerlik, şehitlik, bayrak gibi hususlara dair ne gibi dikkatlerin olduğu ve bunların ne şekilde işlendiği ortaya konulacaktır.

Even though it is an arguable topic in Turkish Literature, the recognition of children as a subject of literature, the publication of children’s magazines and producing literary work for children are widely believed to have started after the Tanzimat (Reform) period. The publication of poetry books for children, on the other hand, coincides with the second Tanzimat period. In the first children’s poetry book published in 1911 and in others published up to the declaration of the Republic in 1923, there are quite a number of poems about the relationship between war and children. There is a chapter dedicated to this topic in almost every book. When we look at these poems from the point of view of today’s pedagogical understanding and the perception of children, we observe that there are far too many ideals, visions and thoughts that are being taught or suggested to children by the poets, which might not be suitable for children. In this study, the topics that are going to be analyzed are heroism, nation, country, military service, martyrdom and flag in the context of war and children in the earlier period of children’s poetry in Turkish Literature, and how these topics are handled will be explored.
