Öz Yeterlilik ve Yaşam Doyumu Arasındaki İlişkide Sosyal Destek Algısı Aracı Rol Oynar mı?

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, öz yeterlilik ve yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişkide sosyal desteğin aracılık rolü incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini İstanbul'un Küçükçekmece ilçesinde bulunan üç liseden 521 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılar küme örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak seçilmiştir. Araştırmada öz yeterlilik, yaşam doyumu ve algılanan sosyal destek ölçekleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada modelin aracılık etkileri PROCESS Macro üzerinden yapılmış ve "Model 6" kullanılmıştır. Sosyal destek ile öz yeterlilik ve yaşam doyumu arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Sosyal desteğin kız öğrencilerde aile, arkadaş ve öğretmen desteği birlikte olduğunda öz yeterlik ve yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişkide aracı rolü olduğu, erkek öğrencilerde ise sadece arkadaş desteği ile aile desteği birlikte olduğunda aracı rolü olduğu bulunmuştur. Bunlara ek olarak, erkek öğrencilerin kız öğrencilere göre daha fazla aile ve arkadaş desteği algıladıkları, başarı düzeyi yüksek olan öğrencilerin daha fazla sosyal destek gördükleri, daha yüksek öz-yeterlik ve yaşam doyumuna sahip oldukları bulunmuştur. Son olarak, gelir düzeyi yüksek olan öğrencilerin daha fazla öğretmen desteği algıladıkları ve daha yüksek öz-yeterliğe sahip oldukları gözlenmiştir.

In this study, the mediating role of social support in the relationship between self -efficacy and life satisfaction was examined. The sample of the research was 521 students from three high schools located in K & uuml;& ccedil;& uuml;k & ccedil;ekmece District of Istanbul. The participants were selected using the cluster sampling method. Selfefficacy, satisfaction with life, and perceived social support scales were used in the study. In the research, the mediating effects of the model were made through PROCESS Macro and "Model 6" was used. Positive significant correlations were found between social support and self -efficacy and life satisfaction. Social support was found to have a mediating role in female students in the relationship between self -efficacy and life satisfaction when family, friend and teacher support were together, while it was found to have a mediating role in male students when only friend support and family support were together. In addition to these, it was found that male students perceived more family and friend support than female students, students with high levels of success perceived more social support and they had higher self -efficacy and life satisfaction. Finally, it was found that students with high level of income perceived more teacher support and they had higher self -efficacy.
