Öğretmenlerin etik ilkeleri ile hesap verebilirlik eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin etik ilkeleri ile hesap verebilirlik eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmanın evrenini, 2019-2020 yılında İstanbul/Zeytinburnu ilçesinde devlet okullarında çeşitli kademelerde görev yapan (Anaokulu, İlkokul, Ortaokul, Lise) 2633 öğretmen, örneklemini ise basit seçkisiz yöntemle seçilen 500 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada "Öğretmenlik Mesleği Etik İlkeleri'nin Geliştirilmesi Envanteri" ölçeği ve "Öğretmen Hesap Verebilirlik Eğilim Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Veriler ise t-testi, tek yönlü varyans (ANOVA), korelâsyon ve regresyon analiz tekniklerinin yardımıyla çözümlenmiştir. Çalışma, nicel araştırma yöntemi ve ilişkisel tarama modeli olarak planlanmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre öğretmenlerin mesleki etik ilkeleri ve hesap verebilirlik eğilimleri cinsiyetlerine, yaşlarına, eğitim durumlarına, kıdemlerine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermediği görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin mesleki etik ilkelerinin görev yaptıkları okul kademesine göre istatistiksel düzeyde anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği, ilkokul öğretmenlerinin mesleki etik ilkelerinin, lise öğretmenlerinin mesleki etik ilkelerinden daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin mesleki ilkeleri, genel hesap verebilirlik eğilimlerindeki toplam varyansın yaklaşık %5'ini olumlu yönde etkilediği görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin etik ilkelerinin, genel hesap verebilirlik değerlerinin yordayıcısı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between teachers' ethical principles and accountability tendencies. The population of the study consisted of 2633 teachers working at various levels (Pre-School, Primary School, Secondary School, High School) in Istanbul / Zeytinburnu District in 2019-2020, and the sample was composed of 500 teachers selected by simple random method. In the study "Improving Inventory of the Teaching Profession Ethics Principles" scale and "Teacher Accountability Tendency Scale Adaptation Study of Turkey" is used. The data were analyzed with the help of t-test, one-way variance (ANOVA), correlation and regression analysis techniques. The study was planned as a quantitative research method and a relational survey model. According to the findings of the study, it was observed that the teachers' professional ethical principles and accountability tendencies did not differ significantly according to their gender, age, education level, and seniority. It has been determined that the professional ethics principles of teachers show a statistically significant difference according to the school level they work in, and the principles of professional ethics of primary school teachers are higher than the principles of professional ethics of high school teachers. It has been observed that teachers' professional principles positively affect approximately 5% of the total variance in general accountability tendencies. It was concluded that teachers' ethical principles are predictors of overall accountability values.
