Esenyurt'taki okulların misyon ve vizyon ifadelerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, İstanbul'un Esenyurt ilçesinde bulunan okulların stratejik planlarında yer alan misyon ve vizyon ifadelerinde hangi ifadelerin daha sık vurgulandığını tespit ve analiz etmektir. Okulların misyon ve vizyon ifadeleri arasındaki benzerliklerin ve farklı yönlerin vurgulanması ise çalışmanın alt amacını oluşturmaktadır. Eğitim kurumlarının misyon ve vizyon ifadelerinin kurum açısından ne gibi sonuçlar doğuracağını öngörebilmeleri açısından önemli bir konudur. Çalışmanın evrenini Esenyurt'taki 97 devlet okulu oluşturmaktadır. Esenyurt'ta bulunan bu okulların stratejik planında yer alan misyon ve vizyon ifadelerine ait veriler doküman incelemesi tekniği ile toplanmış, nitel bir araştırma yöntemi olan içerik analizi ile çözümlemesi yapılmıştır. Misyon ve vizyon ifadeleri için temalar ve kategoriler oluşturulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucunda, ele alınan Esenyurt'taki okulların stratejik planlarında yer alan misyon ifadelerinde en sıklıkla karşılaşılan temanın "Eğitim ve Öğretim" teması olduğu, vizyon ifadeleri içinde en sık görülen temanın da "Eğitim ve Öğretim" teması olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Eğitim ve Öğretim temasında misyon ifadelerinde; "MEB'in temel amaçlarına uygun eğitim vermek", vizyon ifadelerinde ise "model okul – tercih edilen okul olmak" kategorisi en öne çıkmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze which expressions are emphasized more frequently in the mission and vision statements in the strategic plans of the schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Esenyurt. It is an important issue that educational institutions can predict the results of the mission and vision statements based on a realistic and unrealistic explanation. The universe of the study consists of 97 public schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education in Esenyurt. The data of the mission and vision statements in the strategic plan of 97 public schools in Esenyurt were collected by document analysis technique and analyzed with a content analysis which is a qualitative research method. The main themes and sub-themes were created for the mission statements. As a result of the study, it was determined that the most frequently encountered theme in the mission statements included in the strategic plans of the schools in Esenyurt is lar "Education and Training" theme. The most common theme among the iştir Vision V expressions is "Education and Training tem theme. In the theme of education and training of mission statements; To provide education in accordance with the main objectives of the Ministry of National Education", In terms of vision statements, the category of "model school - preferred school - was the most prominent.
