Evsizliğe Giden Süreç: Yaşam Koşulları, Aile ve Sosyal Destek Ağları Üzerine Derinlemesine Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Bu çalışma, evsiz bireylerin yaşadığı zorlukları, evsizliğe sürükleyen faktörleri, günlük yaşam şartlarını ve aile ile sosyal destek ağlarının rollerini kapsamlı bir şekilde incelemeyi hedeflemekte-dir. Evsiz bireylerle yapılan araştırma için nitel araştırma yöntemi tercih edilmiş olup mülakatlar için yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu hazırlanarak Bursa il merkezinde sokak, terminal ve ko-nukevinde kalan 14 evsiz erkek ile yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bulguların analizinde ise, betimsel analiz tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler, evsizliğe giden süreç, evsiz-lerin yaşam koşulları ve karşılaştığı zorluklar, aile ve sosyal destek ağları şeklinde üç ana tema üzerinden değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda evsizliğin çoğunlukla aile içi sorunlar ya da ölümlerle başlayıp ekonomik kayıplar ve psikolojik sorunlarla derinleştiği belirlenmiştir. Evsiz bi-reylerin yaşam koşulları barınma, sağlık, ekonomik yoksunluk, istihdam, gıda, güvenlik, hijyen ve damgalanma gibi ciddi zorluklarla şekillenmiştir. Evsiz bireylerin neredeyse tamamının aile, ar-kadaş ya da diğer sosyal destek ağlarından yoksun olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca bu bireylerin duygusal, sosyal ve ekonomik destek sistemlerinden mahrum kaldığı belirlenmiştir. Dolayısıyla, evsizliğin sadece barınma eksikliği değil, aynı zamanda sosyal ve psikolojik faktörlerin karmaşık bir etkileşimi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Evsiz bireylerin yaşam kalitelerini iyileştirmek için, aile ve sosyal destek ağlarını güçlendirecek ve onları topluma yeniden entegre edecek kapsamlı sosyal politikaların veya hizmetlerin geliştirilmesi önerilmektedir.

This study aims to comprehensively examine the difficulties faced by homeless individuals, the factors leading to homelessness, their daily living conditions, and the roles of family and social support networks. A qualitative research method has been preferred for the research conducted with homeless individuals, and a semi-structured interview form was prepared. Face-to-face in-terviews were conducted with 14 homeless men staying on the streets, at terminals, and in guest-houses in the city center of Bursa. In the analysis of the findings, the descriptive analysis technique has been utilized. The data obtained have been evaluated over three main themes: the process lead-ing to homelessness, the living conditions of the homeless, and the challenges they face, as well as family and social support networks. The research results have determined that homelessness often begins with domestic issues or deaths and deepens with economic losses and psychological prob-lems. The living conditions of homeless individuals are shaped by severe challenges such as hous-ing, health, economic deprivation, employment, food, security, hygiene, and stigmatization. It has been revealed that almost all homeless individuals lack family, friends, or other social support networks. Moreover, these individuals have been identified as deprived of emotional, social, and economic support systems. Consequently, it has been concluded that homelessness is not merely a lack of shelter but also a complex interaction of social and psychological factors. To improve the quality of life of homeless individuals, the development of comprehensive social policies or services that will strengthen family and social support networks and reintegrate them into society is rec-ommended.
