Üniversite öğrencilerinin romantizm ve eş seçimi tutumları ile aile iklimi arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada aile ikliminin romantizm ve eş seçimi tutumunu yordama gücünün belirlenmesi, üniversite öğrencilerinin aile iklimi ve romantizm ve eş seçimi tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 395'i kadın 73'ü erkek olmak üzere 468 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak; Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Rest Ölçeği ve Aile İklimi Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde fark testleri (bağımsız gruplar t-testi ile tek yönlü varyans), değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi saptamak için pearson momentler çarpımı korelasyon katsayısı analizi ve regresyon analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Yapılan tüm istatistiksel işlemlerde SPSS 26 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulguları incelendiğinde; aile iklimi ölçeği ve alt boyutları puan ortalamalarının katılımcıların cinsiyetlerine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur. REST ölçeği alt boyutlarından olan "Yalnız ve Tek Doğru", "İdealleştirme", "Zıt Kutuplar", ve "Tam Güven" düzeyinde cinsiyete göre anlamlı farklılık görülmezken, REST ölçeği ve REST ölçeğinin alt boyutlarından olan "Beraber yaşama", "Aşk yeterli" düzeyleri karşılaştırıldığında erkek ve kadın değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Katılımcıların eğitim aldıkları üniversite türü (devlet-özel) ve baba eğitim durumuna göre hem aile iklimi ölçeği hem de Rest Ölçeği puanları ise anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaşmamaktadır. Aile iklimi ölçeği ve alt boyutları puan ortalamaları yaş değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermemektedir. REST ölçeğinin toplam puanı ve alt boyutlarından olan "Beraber Yaşama", "Yalnız ve Tek Doğru", "Aşk Yeterli", "İdealleştirme", "Zıt Kutuplar", ve "Çaba Göstermeme" düzeyinde yaşa göre anlamlı farklılık görülmezken, REST ölçeği alt boyutu olan "Çaba göstermeme" düzeyinin sınıf değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Diğer taraftan REST ölçeğinin alt boyutlarından olan "Tam güven" düzeyi karşılaştırıldığında yaş değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur. Üniversite öğrencilerinde aile iklimi ve romantizm ve eş seçimi arasında anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu görülmüştür. Aile iklimi alt boyutları olan aile içi ilişkisellik, kuşaklar arası otorite ve bilişsel uyumun romantizm ve eş seçimi tutumunu yordamakta olduğu görülmüştür.

The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between university students' attitudes towards romance and spouse choice and family climate. The sample of the study consists of 468 university students, 395 female and 73 male, determined by simple random sampling method. As a data collection tool in the research; Personal Information Form, Rest Scale and Family Climate Scale were used. In the analysis of the data, difference tests (independent groups t-test with one-way variance), Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient analysis and regression analysis were used to determine the relationship between the variables. SPSS 26 package program was used in all statistical operations. According to the results of the independent samples t-test analysis conducted in the study; When the gender variable and the mean scores of the family climate scale and its sub-dimensions were compared, no significant difference was found between the male and female variables. While there was no significant difference in the sub-dimensions of the REST scale, namely "The Lonely and Only Right", "Idealization", "Polars" and "Full Trust", when the levels of "Living together", "Love is enough", which are the sub-dimensions of the REST scale and the REST scale, are compared. It has been determined that there is a significant difference according to the male and female variables. It was concluded that there were no significant differences according to the university where the participants were educated and the educational status of the father. When the mean scores of the family climate scale and its sub-dimensions were compared with the age variable, no significant difference was found according to the age variable. While there was no significant difference in the total score of the REST scale and its sub-dimensions of "Living together", "Alone and the Only Right", "Love is Enough", "Idealization", "Poles Opposites", and "No Effort", the sub-dimension of the REST scale "" It has been determined that the level of "not making an effort" differs significantly according to the class variable. On the other hand, when the "Full confidence" level, which is one of the sub-dimensions of the REST scale, was compared, a significant difference was found according to the age variable. It has been observed that there are significant relationships between family climate and romance and mate choice among university students, and that family climate sub-dimensions such as intra-familial relationality, intergenerational authority and cognitive harmony predict romantic and mate choice attitudes.
