Sosyal hizmet lisans öğrencilerinin işsizlik kaygı düzeylerinin sosyo-demografik değişkenlere göre incelenmesi

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı, Sosyal Hizmet Bölümü lisans öğrencilerinin "İşsizlik kaygısı" düzeylerinin ve bu durumun sosyo-demografik değişkenlerle ilişkisinin belirlenmesidir. Bu araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden tekil tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışmanın evreni Türkiye'de Sosyal Hizmet bölümünde lisans eğitimi gören öğrencilerdir. Ülkemizde şu anda Sosyal Hizmet Lisans Eğitimi (fakülte ve yüksekokul) veren 76 adet sosyal hizmet bölümü bulunmaktadır. Örneklem büyüklüğü hesaplamasına uygun olarak çalışmanın örneklemini 403 sosyal hizmet öğrencisi oluşturulmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında araştırmacıların geliştirdiği "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" ve Tekin ve Korkmaz (2015) tarafından geliştirilen "İşsizlik Kaygısı Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Bu ölçek "İstihdamdaki daralma ve iş gücü ihtiyacındaki azalmanın etkisi", "Çevresel ve sosyal baskı", "Kişisel karamsarlık ve özgüven eksikliği" ve "Niteliksel olarak bilgi ve beceri eksikliği" olmak üzere 4 alt boyuttan oluşmaktadır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 25 programı kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin kardeş sayısı, annelerinin çalışma durumu, maddi durumları ve herhangi bir derneğe üyelik durumu ile işsizlik kaygısı arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamazken, öğrencilerin yaşadığı mekân, babalarının eğitim durumu ve mesleği, cinsiyeti, lisans eğitimini kendi isteği ile yapma durumu ile işsizlik kaygısı arasında anlamlı bir farklılık bulunmuştur.

The aim of the study is to determine the "unemployment anxiety" levels of undergraduate students of the Department of Social Service and the relationship of this situation with socio-demographic variables. In this study, single survey model, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. The population of the study is the students who study in the Department of Social Service as an undergraduate education in Turkey. Currently, there are Departments of Social Service in 76 Social Services Undergraduate Education (in faculties and colleges) in our country. In accordance with the sample size calculation, the sample of the study consisted of 403 Social Service students. The "Personal Information Form" developed by the researchers and the "Unemployment Anxiety Scale" developed by Tekin and Korkmaz (2015) were used to collect the data. This scale consists of 4 sub-dimensions: "Underemployment and the decrease in the need for workforce", "Environmental and social pressure", "Personal pessimism and lack of self-confidence" and "Qualitative lack of knowledge and skills". The analysis of the data was done using the SPSS 25 program. While there was no significant relationship between the number of siblings of the students, the working status of their mothers, their financial status, membership to any association and unemployment anxiety, a significant difference was found between the place where the students live, their fathers' educational status and occupation, gender, the status of doing undergraduate education voluntarily and unemployment anxiety.
