Feminist Söylemde Dinler ve Dilleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada biz, Feministik söylemin, teistik dinlerin dillerine ilişkin görüş ve yorumlarını felsefî ve mantıkî düzeyde tartıştık. Bunu yaparken, konuyu üst cinsiyet (gender) kavramı çerçevesinde elimizden geldiğince açmaya ve değerlendirmeye gayret ettik. Bu bağlamda, dillerin temel özelliklerini de göz önünde bulundurarak feministik söylemin hakikati ne ölçüde yansıttığını ve temel iddialarında tutarlı olup olmadıklarını irdelemeye çalıştık. Ayrıca, feministik söylemin, geçmişten günümüze etkilendiği, hatta daha ileride, teorik yapısını geliştirdiği felsefi düzey ve dayanaklarını da tezimizin sınırları el verdiği ölçüde gösterdik. Feministik söylemin tek bir düzeyde ilerlemediğini, tarihsel süreç içerisinde çok farklı bakış açılarıyla yorumlamışlardır. Öte yandan, bu tarihsel süreç içinde söylem teorik olarak farklılıklar gösterse de, bir ölçüde teistik dinlerin varlık anlayışı, bilgi tasavvuru ve değer telakkilerine dayanan hakikat anlayışlarını modern, hatta seküler bir bakış açısıyla okuyup ona göre yorumladıklarını gördük. Bütün bu yaklaşımların ortak özelliği, ağırlıklı olarak teistik dinlerin dillerini modern ve seküler bir bakış açısıyla yorumlamış olmalarıdır. Elbette, bu feministik söyleme, hukukî, ahlakî, siyâsî ve estetik gibi daha başka açılardan da yaklaşılabilir, hatta, tartışılması da gerekir. Ancak, biz, tezimizi büyük ölçüde dillerin gramatik yapısını göz önünde bulundurarak, feministik söylemin teistik dinlere ve dillerine bu yapı ve dilin kullanımı üzerinden geliştirdikleri görüş ve yorumlarıyla sınırlandırma yoluna gittik.

In this study, we have philosophically discussed the views and interpretations of feminist discourse regarding the languages of theistic religions. In doing so, we have endeavored to explore and evaluate the subject within the framework of the concept of gender to the best of our ability. Meanwhile, by taking into account the fundamental characteristics of languages, we have sought to examine to what extent feminist discourse reflects the truth and whether its core claims are consistent. We have also attempted, within the limits of our thesis, to present the philosophical levels and foundations that have influenced feminist discourse from the past to the present and upon which it has developed its theoretical structure. We observed that feminist discourse has not progressed on a single level but has developed various interpretations with different perspectives throughout history. On the other hand, although the discourse has theoretically diverged in this historical process, we found that it generally interprets the understanding of truth—based on the theistic religions' concepts of being, knowledge, and value—from a modern, even secular, point of view. The common feature of all these approaches is that they predominantly interpret languages through a modern and secular lens. Of course, feminist discourse can and should be approached from other perspectives as well—such as legal, moral, political, and aesthetic. However, in our thesis, we largely focused on the grammatical structure of languages and chose to limit our analysis to the views and interpretations that feminist discourse has developed regarding theistic religions and their languages through this structure and the use of language.
