Havacılık sektöründe liderlik, takım aksaklıkları ve çeviklik ilişkisinin analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye'de havacılık sektöründe faaliyet gösteren firmalarda liderlik tarzlarının, takım aksaklık düzeylerinin ve çeviklik seviyelerinin niteliği ve aralarındaki ilişkiler araştırılarak hem havacılık sektörüne hem literatüre katkı sağlanması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada, dönüşümcü ve etkileşimci liderliğin takım aksaklıkları aracılığı ile çeviklik üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla, liderlik tarzlarının çeviklik ve takım aksaklıkları üzerindeki doğrudan etkisi ve takım aksaklıklarının çeviklik üzerindeki doğrudan etkisi de test edilmiştir. Araştırmada kullanılan ölçeklerden Takım Aksaklıkları Ölçeğinin Türkçe formumun mevcut olmamasından dolayı çalışmanın ana analizlerinden önce bu ölçeğin Türkçeye çevirisi, geçerlilik ve güvenilirlik çalışmaları bir pilot çalışma ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Pilot çalışmada ana kütleden farklı bir örneklem üzerinden veri toplanmış ve ölçeğin uyum değerlerinin kabul edilebilir seviyelerin üstünde olduğu hesaplanmıştır. Çalışmanın değişkenler arası ilişkilerin ortaya konmasını hedefleyen ana araştırması İstanbul ili sınırları içinde farklı branşlarda hizmet veren havacılık işletmelerinde uygulanmıştır. Toplanan anket sonuçlarından uygun görülen toplamda 310 veri SPSS programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçları genel olarak hem dönüşümcü liderliğin hem de etkileşimci liderliğin takım aksaklıklarının tüm boyutlarını azaltıcı yönde etkilediğini göstermiştir. Bu etki genel olarak dönüşümcü liderlik için daha güçlüdür. Etkileşimci liderlik tarzının çeviklik üzerinde doğrudan ve takım aksaklıkları aracılığı ile dolaylı anlamlı etkileri olduğu görülmüştür. Dönüşümcü liderlik ise çevikliği ve takım aksaklıklarını doğrudan etkilemektedir.

In this study, it is aimed to contribute to both the aviation industry and the literature by investigating the levels and relationships of leadership styles, team dysfunctions and agility levels of companies operating in the aviation industry in Turkey. In the current research, the effects of transformational and transactional leadership on agility through team dysfunctions were examined. For this purpose, the direct effect of leadership styles on agility and team dysfunctions and the direct effect of team dysfunctions on agility were also tested. Due to the absence of a Turkish version of the Team Dysfunctions Scale used in the study, the validity and reliability of the scale was not available, the translation of this scale into Turkish, validity and reliability studies were carried out with a pilot study before the main analysis of the study. In the pilot study, data were collected from other private sector enterprises before the target population and it was calculated that the fit values of the scale were above acceptable levels. The main research of the study, which aims to reveal the relations between the variables, was applied in aviation companies serving in different branches in Istanbul. A total of 310 data, which were deemed appropriate from the collected survey results, were analyzed with the SPSS program. The results of the analysis showed that, in general, both transactional and transformational leadership had a mitigating effect on all dimensions of team dysfunctions, while the effects of transformational leadership were stronger. It has been observed that transactional leadership style had significant effects on agility directly and through team dysfunctions. Transformational leadership had only direct effects on team dysfunctions and agility.
