“Müslüman Dostu Turizm” Konulu Çalışmaların Sistematik Derleme ile İncelenmesi

Abstract

Helal turizm terimi mevcut literatürde yoğun şekilde kullanılsa da son dönemde “Müslüman dostu turizm” kavramı tercih edilmektedir. Müslüman dostu turizm (MDT) kavramı, turizm endüstrisinde yeni olmasına rağmen önemli bir niş pazar olarak kabul edilmektedir. Bu bağlamda özellikle Müslüman çevreye hitap edebileceği düşünülen turizm alanlarında dikkate değer artışlar yaşanmıştır. Bu açıdan bakıldığında Müslüman dostu turizm üzerine gerçekleştirilen çalışmalar da önem arz etmektedir. Buradan hareketle bu çalışma, Müslüman dostu turizm konusunda yayımlanan makalelerin kapsamı ve içeriklerinin analiz edilmesi ve konu hakkında teorik bilgilere ulaşılması amacıyla sistematik derleme yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada tarama işlemi 04.05.2023-09.05.2023 tarihleri arasında Scopus veri tabanı aracılığıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu kapsamda, çalışmanın evreni Müslüman dostu turizm kapsamında araştırma gerçekleştirilen 13 makaleden oluşmaktadır. İncelenen makalelerden elde edilen sonuçlara göre, Müslüman dostu turizm kavramı ile ilgili yayınların 2020 yılında yoğunlaştığı görülmektedir. Makalelerin ana temalarına göre dağılımlarına bakıldığında ise Müslüman dostu medikal turizmi, Müslüman dostu nitelikler ve Müslümanların ziyaret niyeti temaları ön plana çıkmıştır. İncelenen makaleler, veri toplama aşamasında kullanılan destinasyonların farklılıklarını göz önüne alarak, Müslüman dostu turizm faaliyetlerinin farklı destinasyonlarda aktif olarak gerçekleştirildiğini ve bu sebeple yapılan çalışmaların veri toplama sürecinde değişiklik gösterdiğini ortaya koymaktadır.

Although the term halal tourism has been used extensively in the literatu-re, recently the concept of Muslim-friendly tourism has been preferred. Although the concept of Muslim-friendly tourism (MDT) is new to the tou-rism industry, it is considered as a important niche market. In this context, there have been notable increases in tourism areas that are thought to appeal especially to the Muslim environment. From this point of view, studies on Muslim-friendly tourism are important. In this respect, this study was carried out with a systematic compilation method to analyze the scope and contents of the articles published on Muslim-friendly tourism and to reach theoretical information on the subject. In this respect, a very limited study has been found in the literature exami-ning the articles on Muslim-friendly tourism with a systematic compilation method. The scanning pro-cess in the research was carried out through the Scopus database between 04.05.2023 and 09.05.2023. This research constitutes the original value of the study. In this context, the universe of the study con-sists of 13 articles evaluated within the scope of Muslim-friendly tourism. According to the results ob-tained from the reviewed articles, it was seen that the publications on the concept of Muslim-friendly tourism intensified in the year of 2020. When the distribution of the articles according to the main the-mes was as follows, the themes of Muslim-friendly medical tourism, Muslim-friendly qualities and Muslims' visit intention came to the fore. When the analyzed articles are considered in terms of the destination from which data obtained, it was seen that the destinations for which data were collected differ due to the fact that there are various destinations where Muslim-friendly tourism activities are actively carried out. The articles examined, taking into account the differences in the destinations used in the data collection phase, and it reveal that Muslim-friendly tourism activities are actively carried out in different destinations, and therefore the studies conducted vary during the data collection process.
