The experience of the Libyan society, which began with the establishment of the insurance system? the civil and military pension system? the organization of social welfare, and its progressive development to reach the comprehensive social security system? was characterized by specificities that influenced the formation of the current security system and its legislations in a positive and sometimes negative manner. In this paper a brief review will be made of the development and development of social protection and social security legislation through the implementation of the analytical method by reviewing laws and identifying the systems? institutions and practices imposed on them. The research ends with a set of conclusions and recommendations.
