İSTANBUL ÖZELİNDE TRAMVAY YATIRIMLARININ ŞEHRE ETKİSİ

Abstract

Bir Osmanlı şirketi olan Tramvay Şirketi, yatırımlarını rasyonel parametrelere göre yönlendiren ve işletmeperformansını günümüzde de geçerli olan işletme göstergeleri ile ölçen ve değerlendiren, Avrupa şehirlerindefaaliyet gösteren diğer işletme otoriteleri ile bilgi akışı sağlayan ve kıyaslama yapan modern bir raylı sistemişletmesidir. Kırk bir yıl süren atlı tramvay ve akabinde devam eden elektrikli tramvay dönemlerine ait faaliyetleriiçeren işletme verileri, şehir içi hareketliliğin (mobilitenin) dönüşümünü ve yönünü ortaya koymaktadır.Kurumun kendi belgelerinden elde edilen sayısal bilgilerin tek bir havuza aktarılması sonucunda oluşturulanveri serileri, işletmenin seyrini gösterdiği gibi döneme ait insan davranışları ve şehrin gelişimi hakkında da fikirvermektedir.

The Ottoman Tramway Company is a modern railway company that directs its investments according to rational parameters and evaluates the business performance with current business indicators, provides information flow with other business authorities operating in European cities and makes bench marking. The operation data related to forty-one-year period of horse tram and then the process of electrification of these trams reveals the evolution of mobility in the city. Moreover, the data series obtained via transferring the numerical information of the company’s own documents, shows the evolution of the society during this period and the development of the city as it shows the course of the business.
