Sürdürülebilir atık yönetimine ilişkin bir araştırma: Plastik sektöründe bir uygulama

Abstract

Tüketime dayalı yaşam biçimi, nüfusun artışı, sanayinin gelişimi, sanayi ürünlerinin çeşitlenmesi ve çevre kirliliği hem insanın hem doğanın hem de diğer canlıların yaşamını tehdit etmektedir. Bu durumun önüne geçilmesi için, atıkların doğru bir şekilde toplanması, taşınması ve ayrıştırılması gerekmektedir. Ülkemizde ve Dünya’da doğal kaynakların korunumu, çevreye verilen olumsuz etkilerin önlenmesi için atık yönetimine ilişkin çeşitli çalışmalar gerçekleştirilmektedir. Doğru atık yönetim süreci ile, atıkların doğru süreçlere tabi tutulup kaynak olarak sisteme geri kazandırılmasını hedeflenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, sürdürülebilir atık yönetiminde başarılı olmak için gerekli kriterler ve stratejilerin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmada, öncelikle plastik sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir firma için atık yönetiminde etkili olan 9 faktör AHP ile önceliklendirilmiştir. İkinci adımda, atık yönetiminde kabul görmüş 6 alternatif strateji TOPSIS yöntemi ile sıralanmıştır. Atık yönetiminde en önemli kriter atık depolama alanlarının doğru seçimi iken, en önemli strateji geri dönüşüm olarak belirlenmiştir.

Consumption-based lifestyle, population growth, development of industry, diversification of industrial products and environmental pollution is threatening the lives of humans and the nature.In order to prevent this situation,it is necessary to collect the wastes,transport them and separate them correctly. In order to protect natural resources and prevent negative effects on the environment, ın our country and in the world generally, various studies are carried out on waste management. With the correct management of the waste management process, it is aimed to return the wastes to the system, even if the wastes cannot be prevented. The aim of this study is to examine the criteria and strategies required for a firm in the plastics industry in sustainable waste management. In this study, 9 factors that are effective in waste management for a company operating in the plastics industry were prioritized with AHP. Then, 6 alternative strategies accepted in waste management were listed with the TOPSIS method. While the most important criterion in waste management is the correct selection of waste storage areas, the most important strategy has been determined as recycling.
