Ortaokul ve lise okul yöneticilerinin kodlama eğitimine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesi (Bağcılar İlçesi örneği)

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı ortaokul ve lise okul yöneticilerinin kodlama eğitimine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesidir. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu Bağcılar İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı bulunan 11 ortaokul ve 10 lise devlet kurumlarında olmak üzere toplam 21 okulda görev yapan 30 okul yönetici oluşturmaktadır. Bu 30 okul yöneticisinin 11’i okul müdürü, 19’u okul müdür yardımcısı olarak görev yapmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak kişisel bilgi formu ve araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak hazırlanan görüşme formu ölçme ve değerlendirme bölümünden iki uzman akademisyen, eğitim bilimleri anabilim dalından bir uzman akademisyen ve dil bilim uzmanı tarafından incelenerek, gerekli düzeltmeler yapılmıştır. Görüşmelerden elde edilen bulgular durum çalışması deseni kullanılarak oluşturulmuş ve yöneticilerin kodlama eğitimine yönelik görüşleri betimlenerek yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Yöneticilerin kodlama eğitimine yönelik yüzeysel bilgilerinin olduğu, erken yaşlardan itibaren ileri kademelere doğru kodlama eğitiminin sistematik olarak verilmesi gerektiğini düşündükleri ortaya koyulmuş ve elde edilen bulgulara göre sonuç ve önerilerde sunulmuştur.

The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of middle and high school principals about coding education. In this research, case study design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group of the study consists of 30 school principals working in a total of 21 public schools (11 secondary schools and 10 high schools) affiliated to Bağcılar District National Education Directorate. 19 of the participants participated in the study are principals, while 11 were vice principals. Half of the participants work in secondary school and the remaining half work in high school. This study is limited to 30 participants and only for the 2018-2019 academic year. Personal information form and semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher were used as data collection tools. The semi-structured interview form prepared as a data collection tool was examined by two expert academicians from the measurement and evaluation department, one expert academician from the educational sciences department and and the linguistic expert. Necessary corrections were made. Findings obtained from the interviews were formed by using case study design and the views of principals about coding training were described and interpreted. It has been revealed that the principals have superficial knowledge about coding education and that they think that the right coding education should be given systematically to the advanced levels from the early ages and the results and suggestions are presented according to the findings.
