Dijital dizi ve film platformlarındaki yükselişin örgütsel ekoloji kuramı açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

Dizi ve film sektörünün büyük bir kabuk değişiminden geçtiği bu dönemlerde yaşanan bu değişime, dijitalleşme ve pandemi sürecinin etkisi oldukça fazladır. Yaşanan bu değişimin nasıl bir şekilde gerçekleştiği ifade edilirken, örgütsel ekoloji kuramıyla ilişkisi göz ardı edilmemelidir. Araştırmanın amacı, dijitalleşme ve pandemi sürecindeki etkiler göz önüne alınarak kabuk değişimde olan dizi ve film sektörünün, örgütsel ekoloji kuramını içerisinde yer alan çeşitli kavramlarla ilişkilendirilmesidir. Ayrıca literatürde daha önce incelenmemiş olan bu bağlantının daha net olarak ifade edilmesi ile literatüre katkı sağlanması da amaçlanmaktadır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda örgütsel ekoloji ve sektördeki kabuk değişimi olarak ifade edilen sinema sektöründeki düşüş ve dijital dizi ve film platformlarındaki yükseliş açıklanarak, örgütsel ekoloji kuramındaki çeşitli kavramların, sektördeki örneklerle daha net olarak açıklanması da planlanmaktadır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden birisi olan belge (doküman) incelemesi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada, dijital platformların yükselişi, sinema sektöründeki düşüşünün dijitalleşme ve pandemi süreci üzerinden değerlendirilmesi ve bu değerlendirmenin örgütsel ekoloji kuramı üzerinden incelenmesinin daha önce başka bir çalışmada gerçekleştirilmemiş olmasının yanı sıra örgütsel ekoloji kuramına ilişkin araştırmalarda nadiren tercih edilen bir araştırma yöntemi olan nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden belge incelemesi yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilmesi de literatürde yer alan diğer çalışmalardan farklı bir yönünü oluşturmaktadır.

In these periods when the series and film industry is going through a significant change, the effect of the digitalization and pandemic process on this change is relatively high. While expressing how this change occurred, its relationship with organizational ecology theory should not be ignored. The research aims to examine the digital revolution, the pandemic process and the aftermath of the great collapse in cinemas and the rise in digital series and film platforms by associating them with various concepts within the theory of organizational ecology. It is also aimed to contribute to the literature by expressing this connection, which has not been examined in the literature before, more clearly. As a result of the study, it is planned to explain various concepts in organizational ecology theory more clearly with examples from the sector, by explaining the decline in the cinema sector, which is expressed as organizational ecology and the change in the shell in the sector, and the rise in digital TV series and film platforms. In the research, the document analysis method, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used. In the study, the rise of digital platforms, the evaluation of the decline in the cinema industry through digitalization and the pandemic process, and the examination of this evaluation through organizational ecology theory have not been carried out in any other study before, as well as the document review method, which is a rarely preferred research method in research on organizational ecology theory. It is also different from other studies in the literature.
