İsmailağa Cemaati sosyal kimlik inşa araçları

Abstract

Türk toplumunun en önemli boyutlarından biri de dindir. Toplum içinde, dini cemaatlerin çok önemli anlamları ve fonksiyonları vardır. Dini cemaatlerden kast edilen ise sosyolojik anlamda dayanışmacı olan topluluklardır. İsmailağa cemaati de Türk toplum yapısı içinde tarihsel geçmişle bağı bulanan ve sufi bir geleneğe sahip bir cemaattir. Böyle özellikleri ile İsmailağa Cemaati çok farklı yönleri ile dikkatleri üzerine çekmektedir. Giyim kuşamı, eğitim sistemi, yapmış oldukları sosyal faaliyetler ve etkinlikler ile gündeme gelmektedir. İsmailağa Cemaati çok yönlü olmasına rağmen bu çalışmada cemaatin başta dini lideri Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu (Mahmut Efendi diye tanınır) olmak üzere sosyal alandaki kimlik inşa süreci ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır. Dolayısıyla İsmailağa Cemaati'nin kimlik inşa ederken yararlandığı söylemler nelerdir? Başvurduğu faaliyetler ve söylemler ile hangi argümanları kullanarak kimlik inşa ediyor? gibi konular bağlamında çalışmaya yön verilecektir. Bu çalışmanın önemi Türk toplum yapısı içinde var olan bir grubu değerlendirerek, Türk toplumunu kimi yönleriyle tanımak açısından kolaylık sağlayacağının düşünülmesidir. Türk toplumu kendisini dinle, dini topluluklarla, kurumlarla ortaya koyar. İsmailağa Cemaati de bunlar içinde önemli, dini topluluklardan olan bir dini gruptur. Türkiye'de son zamanlarda dini gruplar, cemaatlerle alakalı tartışmalar ve sorunlar yaşanmaktadır. Bu tartışmalar beraberinde ciddi ön yargılara, ideolojik yaklaşımlara, bilim dışı tutumlara sebebiyet vermektedir. Dışlamaları, çatışmaları, ötekileştirmeleri ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Bu tür yapıların çalışmaya değer görülmesinin Türk toplumunda kimliğin inşasındaki rollerini tanıma fırsatı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. İsmailağa Cemaati konulu bu araştırma, daha çok yorumlayıcı bir paradigma olarak nitel araştırma yöntemine dayanmaktadır. Literatürden yararlanarak ve yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu hazırlanarak derinlemesine mülakatlar yapılmıştır. Bunun için cemaatin önde gelen kişileri ile görüşmeler gerçekleştirilerek İsmailağa Cemaati'nin kimlik inşa süreçleri değerlendirilmeye çalışılmıştır.

One of the most important factors of Turkish society is religion. Religious communities have very important meanings and functions in society. That's why, the religious communities is sociologically solidarist communities. The Ismailağa community is also a community that has a connection with the historical past within the Turkish social structure and has a Sufi tradition. With such features, the Ismailağa community takes attention with its very different aspects. It comes to the agenda with its clothing, education system, social activities and activities they have done. Although the Ismailağa Community is multifaceted, in this study, the identity building process with its social aspect, especially the religious leader of the community, Mahmut Ustaosmanoğlu (known as Mahmut Efendi), has been tried to be discussed. Therefore, what are the discourses the Ismailağa community makes use of while building identity? What arguments does it use to construct an identity with the activities and discourses it refers to? It will be directed to work in the context of such issues. The importance of this study is that it is thought that by evaluating a group that exists within the structure of Turkish society, it will make it easier to get to know the Turkish society in some aspects. Turkish society manifests itself with religion, religious communities and institutions. İsmailağa community is an important religious group among them, which is one of the religious communities. religious groups in Turkey recently, communities relevant discussions and problems arise. These debates give rise to serious prejudices, ideological approaches, and unscientific attitudes. It reveals exclusions, conflicts and marginalization. It is thought that seeing such structures as worth working will provide an opportunity to recognize their role on building an identity in Turkish society. This research on the Ismailağa Community is based on qualitative research method as an interpretative paradigm. In-depth interviews were conducted using the literature and preparing a semi-structured interview form. That's why, the identity building processes of the Ismailağa community were tried to be evaluated by conducting interviews with prominent people of the community.
