İlkokul ve ortaokul öğretmenlerinin mesleki benlik saygılarının belirlenmesi

Abstract

Eğitimde sürekli yeni yaklaşımlar ortaya çıkmaktadır. Öğretmenler de devamlı olarak kendilerini geliştirmek durumunda kalmaktadırlar. Öğretmen de her insan gibi birçok şeyden olumlu veya olumsuz olarak etkilenmekte bunlarda öğretmenin mesleki benlik saygısını etkilemektedir. Araştırmanın amacı, ilkokul ve ortaokul öğretmenlerinin mesleki benlik saygılarının düzeyini belirlemektir. Bu araştırmada Arıcak tarafından geliştirilen Mesleki Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu kullanılmıştır. Ölçek İstanbul İl'inin; Esenyurt ilçesindeki ilkokul ve ortaokul öğretmenlerine uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, İstanbul İli'nin Esenyurt bölgesinde görev yapan Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı'na bağlı okullarda çalışan 1766 ilkokul ve ortaokul öğretmenidir. Basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 313 öğretmen örneklem olarak alınmıştır. Eksiksiz olarak doldurulduğu görülen 313 tane ölçek SSPS 22.00 paket programına girilerek analizler yapılmıştır. İlkokul ve ortaokul öğretmenlerinin bilgileri frekans ve yüzde olarak verilmiştir. Frekans analizi sonucunda öğretmenlerin büyük bir çoğunluğunun kadın olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin önemli bir kısmının da daha yeni göreve başlayan öğretmenler oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin mesleki benlik saygılarının yüksek olduğu bulunmuştur. Yapılan t testi analizinde öğretmenlerin mesleki benlik saygısı ile cinsiyetleri ve branşları arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Yapılan anova testiyle mesleki benlik saygısı ile yaş, öğrenim durumu, öğretmenlikteki kıdem yılı ve bulundukları kurumdaki çalışma süreleri arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır.

New approaches arise continuously in education. Teachers also must developed themselves regularly. The teacher, like every human, are effected from many things positively or negatively, these affect professional self-esteem of the teacher. The aim of the research to determine primary and secondary school teachers levels of professional self-esteem. Personal Information Form and Professional Self-Esteem Scale which is developed by Arıcak were used as data collection tools in the study. The universe of the study was formed of 1766 primary school teachers and middle-school teachers working in Esenyurt during the 2014-2015 educational year. The sample of the study consisted of 313 teachers. The sample was chosen through random sampling method. 313 piece scale which are seen as completely filled, by entering the software package of The SSPS 22.00 has been analysed. Data of primary and middle-school teachers are given as frequency and percentage. As a result of frequency analysis it has been seen that the vast majority of teachers are female. Further, it has been identified that also an important part of these teachers are newer began working teachers. It was found that levels of professional self-esteem of teachers is high. In committed Independent Sample t-Test analysis it was not found a significant difference between professional self-esteem of teachers and gender and fields. In committed One Way Anova test it could not be found a significant difference among professional self-esteem, age, educational status, seniority in teaching and working time in institutions they are.
