Abstract

Râgıb el-İsfahânî "Müfredâtü elfâẓi'l-Ḳurʾân" adlı eserinde, İbn Fâris'in Muʿcemü meḳāyîsi'l-luġa"da kullanmış olduğu "kelimeleri kökenlerine döndürme" yönteminden farklı bir metot kullanmıştır. Bu çalışma, kelimenin kökenini belirleme hususundaki iki farklı yöntemi incelemek, Arapça kelimelerin doğru ve derin bir anlayışla anlaşılması için hangi yöntemin daha uygun olduğunu belirlemek ve Kur'an-ı Kerim'in tefsiri ile dilbilim çalışmaları için hangi yöntemin daha iyi olduğunu kararlaştırmak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır. Araştırma, ilk bölümde kitapların incelenmesi ve yöntemlerinin belirlenmesini konu edinmekte ve betimleyici-analitik bir yönteme dayanmaktadır. İkinci ve üçüncü bölümlerde ise karşılaştırmalı bir yöntem kullanılmıştır. İki yöntem yedi farklı hususta karşılaştırılmıştır: anlamın açıklanması, hakikat ve mecazın ayırt edilmesi, türevsel ilişkilerin açığa çıkarılması, dil bilgisel farklılıklar, kelimenin tarihini ve çevresini belirleme, diğer türev çeşitleriyle uyum ve Kur'an-ı Kerim'in tefsirine etkisi. Çalışmanın sonucu; Râgıb'ın yönteminin, kelimenin açıklanması ve anlamının belirlenmesi, Kuran'ın tefsiri ile dilbilim çalışmaları için daha uygun olduğu yönünde olmuştur.

In his book "Mufradat-u Alfaz-i-l Qur'an", Al-Raghib Al-Isfahani, took a different approach to Ibn Faris's approach to determining words' origins in his book "Maqayees-u-l Lughah". This research thesis examines the two approaches and compares them to find out which of them is better for accurately understanding and gaining a deeper insight into the Arabic word, and which is better and more appropriate in interpreting the Holy Qur'an and lexicographical work. The thesis relies on the descriptive analytical method in the first chapter which is devoted to studying the two books and inferring their approaches. In the second and third chapters, it uses the comparative method, comparing the two approaches to the follwoing seven issues: clarifying the meaning, distinguishing between direct and metaphorical language, revealing derivational relationships, linguistic differences, knowing the history of the word and its environment, the degree of congruence with other types of derivation, and the influence on the interpretation of the Holy Qur'an. The study concludes that Al-Raghib's approach is more suitable for explaining the word and clarifying its meaning as well as interpreting the Holy Qur'an and for lexicographical work.
