Güvenli Okul Oluşturulmasına İlişkin Yerel Yöneticilerin Görüşleri

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı güvenli okulla ilgili mevcut aduruma ve olması gereken duruma ilişkin yerel yöneticilerin görüşlerinin belirlenebilmesidir. Araştırma fenemonolojik nitel araştırmadır. Veriler yarıyapılandırılmış görüşme formuyla elde edilerek tematik içerik analizi tekniğiyle analiz edilmiştir. Güvenli okula ilişkin mevcut durumun bir çok yerde sıkıntılı olduğu, kavga, zorbalık, okula erişimdeki kargaşa gibi durumların yaşandığı belirlenmiştir. Güvenli okulla ilgili olması gereken duruma ilişkin; okul içindeki kavga ve zorbalığın önlenebilmesi için fiziki ve sosyal açıdan etkili tedbirlerin alınması gerektiği, zararlı alışkanlıklarla mücadelede ailelerin bilinçlendirilmesinin önemli olduğu vurgulanmaktadır. Bununla birlikte, okul içinde ve çevresinde kavga ve zorbalığın önlenebilmesinde tüm paydaşlarla işbirliği içerinde önleyici uygulamalara yer verilmesi, kantin ve yemekhanelerin ciddi denetimlerinin yapılması gerektiği görüşü ön plana çıkmaktadır. Sonuç olarak okulların yeterli düzeyde güvenli okul özelliğini taşımadığı, güvenli okulun oluşturulması için okul yönetimi ve tüm paydaşların eşgüdümlü olarak işbirliğiyle önleyici tedbirlerin alınması gerektiği görüşü benimsenmektedir.

The aim of this research is to determine the views of local administrators about the current situation and the situation that should be about safe school. The research is a phenomenological qualitative research. The data were obtained by semi-structured interview form and analyzed with thematic content analysis technique. It has been determined that the current situation regarding the safe school is troublesome in many places, and situations such as fighting, bullying, and confusion in accessing the school are experienced. Regarding the situation that should be related to the safe school; It is emphasized that effective physical and social measures should be taken in order to prevent fighting and bullying in the school, and it is important to raise the awareness of families in the fight against harmful habits. However, the opinion that preventive practices should be included in cooperation with all stakeholders and serious inspections of canteens and cafeterias should be made in order to prevent fighting and bullying in and around the school. As a result, it is accepted that schools do not have the characteristics of a safe school at a sufficient level and that preventive measures should be taken in coordination with the school administration and all stakeholders in order to establish a safe school.
