Yerel kadın kuruluşları ve sivil toplum: Niğde Hüdavend Hatun Kadın Çocuk ve Gençlik Derneği örneği

Abstract

Yirminci yüzyılın sonlarındaki gelişmeler, Doğu Blok'unun çökmesi, liberalizmin yükselmesi ve küreselleşme ile sivil toplum kavramı üzerinde şiddetli tartışmalar oluşmuştur. Bu çalışmanın çıkış noktası, geçmişten günümüze sivil toplum ve kadını kavramak, kadınların sivil topluma katkılarını araştırmaktır. Tezimiz, Niğde'de bulunan Hüdavend Hatun Kadın Çocuk ve Gençlik Derneği örneğinden hareketle taşradaki kadın derneklerini araştırmak, bu derneklerin ne kadar kadına ulaşabildiği, sosyal hayata katkıları, faaliyetleri ve gelir giderleri hakkında veriler elde etmeyi amaçlamıştır. Bununla birlikte çalışma, derneğe ulaşan kadınların sayısını belirlemek, günümüz şartlarında hayata ne derece katıldıklarını tespit etmek, derneğe ulaşan kadınların sorunlarının neler olduğunu araştırmıştır. Yine kadın derneklerinin kadınların sorunlarına nasıl yaklaştığı ve taşra şartlarında nasıl çözüm bulduğu ya da bulamadığı, eksik yönlerinin tespiti tezimizin amaçlarındandır. Niğde ilinde kadın sivil toplum örgütleriyle ilgili daha önce araştırma yapılmadığı ve bu konuda literatür boşluğu olması nedeniyle tezimiz özgün bir değere sahip olup Niğde ilindeki kadın derneklerinin il bazında kadınlara katkısı araştırılmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden mülakat yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma örneklemini mülakat yapılan 30 kadın oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci boyutunu dernek yönetici ve üyeleri, ikinci boyutunu ise dernek yararlanıcıları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma sonucunda, kadın derneklerinin kadınların hayatlarında kişisel gelişim noktasında katkı sağladığı görülmüştür. Derneğe üye olan ya da yararlanıcı kadınların özgüvenlerinde artış tespit edilmiştir. Sosyal performanslarında yükseliş yaşadıkları, iş kurdukları ve kendi çabalarıyla hayata tutundukları saptanmıştır.

The developments in the late twentieth century, the collapse of the Eastern Block, the rise of liberalism and globalization have resulted in blistering discussions on the concept of civil society. The purpose of this study is to absorb civil society and women from past to present, and to analyze women's contributions to civil society. The aim of our thesis is to analyze women's associations in the countryside, to obtain data on how many women the women's associations identified at the end of the research can reach, women's contribution to social life, activities and income expenses based on Nigde Hudavend Hatun Women Child and Youth Association sample. In this way, it was analyzed to determine the number of women who reached the association, to determine their participation in life in today's conditions, and what the problems of women who reached the association. Another aim of our thesis is to find out how women's associations approach women's problems and how they overcome their deficiencies. In our thesis, the women's associations in Nigde were identified and the contribution of the studies carried out by the associations to women on the provincial basis was analyzed since there has been no research about women's non-governmental organizations' in Nigde before. In this study we selected interview method in the qualitative research methods. We have 30 women participation. The first dimension of our study consists of director of association and members and other dimension consists of association beneficiaries. As a result of the research, it was seen that women's associations contributed to self-improvement in women's lives. An increasing in the self-confidence of women who are members of the association and beneficiary women have been determined. It has been detected that their social performances have been increasing, establishing a business and they clutch onto the life with their own efforts.
