Liselere geçiş sistemindeki değişikliğin öğrenci profillerine yansıması üzerine fenomenolojik bir çalışma

Abstract

2018 yılından itibaren liselere girişte yerel yerleştirme ve merkezi yerleştirme esasına dayalı yerleştirme yöntemine geçilmiştir. Öğrenciler, ya tercihleri doğrultusunda adreslerine yakın olan okullara sınavsız kayıt olmakta ya da MEB tarafından belirlenen bazı okullara merkezi sınav puanlarıyla kayıt olmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı ise yapılan değişikliğin (yerel yerleştirme ve merkezi yerleştirme) okullardaki öğrenci profilinde değişimlere yol açıp açmadığının değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemiyle yürütülmüş, fenomenoloji ile desenlenmiştir. Çalışma grubunu; 5 okul yöneticisi, 5 branş öğretmeni ve 5 rehber öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma grubu, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden biri olan maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi kullanılarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmış; verilerin çözümlenmesinde betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda yerel yerleştirme ile kayıt alan okullardaki kontenjanların belirlenenden fazla olduğu ve dolayısıyla da sınıf mevcutlarında artış gözlenmiştir. Bu yüzden okulların fiziki yapıları göz önüne alınarak kontenjanlarının belirlenmesi gerektiği önerilmektedir. Ayrıca meslek liselerinin itibarının artırılması yönünde çalışmalar yapılması gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir.

As of 2018, the method of local placement and central placement at the entrance to high schools has been adopted. Students can either enroll in schools close to their address-es without taking an exam in line with their choices (local placement) or enroll in some schools determined by the Ministry of National Education with central exam scores (central placement). The aim of this study is to evaluate whether this change (local placement and central placement) leads to changes in student profiles in schools. This study was conducted with the qualitative research method and was designed with the phenomenology. The study group is to consist of 5 school administrators, 5 branch teachers and 5 school counselors. Participants were selected by using the maximum variation sampling method, one of the purposive sampling methods. In the study, the data were obtained through a semi-structured interview form; the data obtained from the interviews were analyzed using descriptive analysis technique and content analysis technique. In line with the findings obtained, it was observed that the quota in the schools which enrolled with the local placement was more than determined and thus the increase in the class size was observed. Therefore, it is suggested that the quota of the schools should be determined by considering the physical structure of the schools. They also stated that studies should be carried out to increase the reputation of vocational high schools.
