Sadettin Ökten'de medeniyet tasavvuru ve çağdaşı düşünürlerle mukayesesi

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı, insanlık tarihiyle özdeş bir kavram olan medeniyetin geçmişten günümüze olan serüvenine Türkiye tarihi açısından geçirdiği aşamaları inceleyerek detaylıca bakabilmek; modernite ile başka bir perspektiften ve yeniden ele alınması gereken bu kavram hakkında bugüne dair söylenen yeni sözleri, fikirleriyle topluma yol gösterici medeniyet ufkuna sahip şahsiyetleri, dün ve bugün arasındaki yaklaşım farklılığını ortaya çıkartarak anlamaya çalışmaktır. Bu çerçevede Sadettin Ökten'in eserleri incelenmiş, kendisiyle detaylı bir mülakat yapılmış ve konuya bakışını anlatan konuşmaları analiz edilerek "medeniyet tasavvuru" ele alınmış, daha iyi anlaşılabilmesi için Sezai Karakoç ve İsmet Özel'in medeniyet konusundaki yaklaşımları ile mukayese edilmiştir. Ökten'in medeniyet meselesini derinlikli ve bütüncül olarak ele aldığı görülmüş; beslendiği kaynaklar ve yaşadığı deneyimin bunda etkili olduğu kanaatine varılmıştır. Ökten, Karakoç'un diriliş medeniyetine daha yakın, Özel'in reddiyeci medeniyet bakışına daha uzak, temel değerler manzumesine yaslanan ve bireyde, toplumsal hayatta içkin bir medeniyet tasavvurunu savunmuştur.

This study's main purpose is making a comprehensive look to civilization which is identical to the journey of humanity from past to future by examining the stages in terms of Turkey's history; with the modernity, this concept needs to be reconsidered from a different perspective, is to try to recognize the people who have a guiding civilization horizon with their new words, efforts and ideas about today, by revealing the difference in approach between yesterday and today. In this framework, Sadettin Ökten's works has been examined, a detailed interview has been made with him, and all his lectures describing his view on the subject were analysed and the "concept of civilization" was discussed. Moreover, to better understand Sezai Karakoç and İsmet Özel's approaches to civilization topic has been compared to his thoughts. It was seen that Ökten handled the issue of civilization in a deep and holistic manner, and it was concluded that the sources he was fed, and his experience were effective in this. Ökten has supported a civilization concept by leaning on to the fundamental values, closer to Karakoç's "Resurrection"/Diriliş distant to rejectionist view of Özel, which is inherited in the individual, society life.
