Pandemi dönemi çevrim içi uzaktan eğitime ilişkin öğretmenlerin memnuniyet düzeyleri (İstanbul ili Bağcılar ilçesi örneği)

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı, resmî ortaöğretim kurumlarında (liselerde) görev yapan öğretmenlerin pandemi döneminde çevrim içi uzaktan eğitime ilişkin memnuniyet düzeylerini belirlemektir. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar yarıyılında İstanbul Bağcılar İlçe Millî Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı resmî ortaöğretim kurumlarında (liselerde) görev yapan 2061 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Pandemi şartları, Bağcılar ilçesinin büyüklüğü ve 2061 öğretmene ulaşmadaki zorluklar göz önüne alınarak, araştırma grubu tüm okul türlerini oransal olarak temsil edecek düzeyde 60 öğretmenle sınırlandırılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında öğretmenlerden veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile toplanmış olup, pandemi koşulları göz önünde bulundurularak görüşlerin yazılı olarak elden veya bilgisayar ortamında yazılarak dijital yollardan iletimi yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formunun birinci bölümünde demografik bilgiler alınmış olup, ikinci bölümde görüşme soruları sorulmuştur. Görüşmelerden elde edilen bulgular durum çalışması deseni ve içerik analizi kullanılarak oluşturulmuş, öğretmenlerin pandemi döneminde çevrim içi uzaktan eğitime ilişkin memnuniyet düzeyleri tespit edilerek yorumlanmaya çalışılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin çevrim içi uzaktan eğitim hakkında bilgi, beceri ve deneyimlerinin, dijital okuryazarlıklarının, bilişim teknolojileri araçlarının, internet erişimlerinin yetersiz oluşu çeşitli zorlukların yaşamasına sebep olurken; zamandan ve mekândan bağımsız eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerinin çevrim içi canlı ders olarak yapılıyor olmasının kolaylıkları ön plana çıkarılmıştır. En çok; tam kapanmaya hiçbir zaman gidilmemesi, aşılama önceliğinin öğretmenlere verilerek yüz yüze eğitime ara verilmeden hibrit eğitim modelinin uygulanması gerektiği yönünde öneride bulunulmuş olup, elde edilen bulgular yorumlanarak sonuç ve öneriler sunulmuştur. Pandemi öncesi Türkçe literatürde ortaöğretim düzeyinde fazlaca çalışılmamış olması bu konunun irdelenmesinin, yüz yüze eğitimle beraber uzaktan eğitim faaliyetlerinin yürütülmesi sürecinde tespit edilecek sorunlar ve çözüm önerilerinin geleneksel eğitimin teknolojik imkânlarla birlikte harmanlanarak daha ileri bir noktaya taşınmasında öğretmenlerin memnuniyet düzeylerinin belirlenmesinin bu amaca olumlu katkılar sağlayacağı düşünülmüştür. Pandemi dönemi uzaktan eğitim sürecinde öğretmenlerin çevrim içi uzaktan eğitim faaliyetleri esnasında görmüş oldukları kolaylıklar ve zorluklar ile pandemi döneminde eğitimin nasıl olması gerektiğine dair görüşlerinin tespiti, farklı faktörlerin göz önünde bulundurularak çevrim içi uzaktan eğitim sisteminin değerlendirilmesi, planlanması, geliştirilmesi, kullanıma sunulması, denetlenmesi ve düzenlenmesi açısından da köklü faydalar sağlayacaktır.

The aim of the study is to determine the satisfaction levels of teachers working in public secondary education institutions (high schools) regarding online distance education during the pandemic period. In this study, case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used. The study group of the research consists of 2061 teachers working in public secondary education institutions (high schools) affiliated to Istanbul Bağcılar District Directorate of National Education in the spring semester of the 2020-2021 academic year. Considering the pandemic conditions, the size of Bağcılar district and the difficulties in reaching 2061 teachers, the research group was limited to 60 teachers at a level to represent all school types proportionally. Within the scope of the research, data were collected from the teachers with a semi-structured interview form, and considering the pandemic conditions, the methods of transmitting the opinions in written form or by writing in the computer environment by digital means were used. Demographic information was obtained in the first part of the semi-structured interview form, and interview questions were asked in the second part. The findings obtained from the interviews were created using a case study design and content analysis, and the satisfaction levels of teachers regarding online distance education during the pandemic period were determined and interpreted. While teachers' lack of knowledge, skills and experience, digital literacy, information technology tools and internet access about online distance education cause various difficulties; The convenience of teaching-learning activities independent of time and place as online live lessons has been brought to the fore. Most all; It has been suggested that there should never be a complete shutdown, that the priority of vaccination should be given to the teachers and that the hybrid education model should be applied without interrupting face-to-face education, the findings were interpreted and the results and suggestions were presented. The fact that there was not much study in the Turkish literature before the pandemic at the secondary education level, it was thought that the determination of the satisfaction levels of the teachers would provide positive contributions to this aim in bringing the problems and solution proposals to be determined in the process of conducting distance education activities together with face-to-face education, by blending traditional education with technological opportunities. In the pandemic period distance education process, determining the convenience and difficulties experienced by the teachers during online distance education activities and their views on how education should be during the pandemic period, evaluating, planning, developing, putting into use, controlling and arranging the online distance education system by taking into account different factors. will provide substantial benefits.
