İmam hatip lisesi öğrencilerinin imam hatiplilik algısı ve deneyimlerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Anadolu imam hatip lisesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin imam hatiplilik algısı ve deneyimlerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı Din Öğretimi Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı İstanbul ili Maltepe ilçesinde bulunan 5 Anadolu imam hatip lisesinde öğrenim gören 10, 11 ve 12. sınıf seviyesinden seçilen toplamda 20 öğrenci ile gönüllülük kapsamında yapılmıştır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma deseni ve fenomenoloji (olgubilim) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında literatür taraması yapılmış, 20 öğrenciye 7 açık uçlu soru yöneltilmiş ve yüz yüze yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme yöntemi kullanılarak görüşme gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda elde edilen verilerin analizinde öğrenci referans görüşleri doğrultusunda kodlar belirlenmiş, temalar ve alt temalar oluşturulmuştur. Bulgularda katılımcıların konu ile ilgili ifadelerine doğrudan altıntı yapılarak yer verilmiştir. Bulgular, çalışmanın kavramsal ve kuramsal boyutu göz önünde bulundurularak ilgili araştırmalar ile birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda aşağıda verilen bulgulara ulaşılmıştır: İmam hatip lisesi öğrencilerinin okullarına yönelik bakış ve düşünceleri değerlendirildiğinde, eğitim öğretim programlarının niteliği ile eğitim ortamlarının niteliği, sosyokültürel ortamlar ve mezunlarının diğer okullara nazaran öğrencilerin beklentilerini daha üst düzeylerde karşıladığı görülmüştür. Öğrencilerin okullarını algılama durumları ile imam hatiplilik kimliklerine etki eden kazanımlarına bakıldığında ise, öncelikli olarak toplumsal rol ve sorumlulukları, kişisel ve sosyal özellikler ile dindarlık algılarının öne çıktığı ve bu konularda edindikleri deneyimler ile kimliklerine katkı sağladıkları görülmüştür. İmam hatip lisesi öğrencilerinin okul dışı sosyal ortamlarda yetişkin ve akranları ile karşılaştıkları durumlarda ise, bu öğrencilerin yetişkin ve akranlarına yönelik kaynaklık etme rolünü öne çıkaran beklentileri cevapladıklarında olumlu deneyimlere sahip oldukları ve bu öğrencilerin kabul görülerek benimsendikleri bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Bunun dışındaki durumlarda öğrencilerin daha çok ön yargı ve devamında küçümsenme davranışlarıyla karşılaştıkları ortaya çıkmıştır.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the imam hatip high school student’s perceptions and experiences of being an imam hatip student. The research has been carried out among 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students from 5 different Anatolian imam hatip high schools in Maltepe İstanbul affiliated to General Directorate of Religious Education (Ministry of Education), based on voluntariness. In the study, qualitative research design and phenomenology method have been used. Within the context of the study, literature review has been done, 20 students have been asked 7 open-ended question and interview has been performed by face to face semi structured interview method. In the analysis of the outcome, codes have been made in accordance with students’ reference opinions and themes/subthemes have been created. Participants’ direct quotations about subject have been involved in the findings. The findings have been evaluated within relevant studies in terms of conceptual and theoretical dimension. Study results indicate these following findings: It has been seen that when imam hatip high school students’ perception and thoughts have been evaluated about their school, both the quality of education and training programs and the quality of the educational environments, socio-cultural environments and people have been graduated from imam hatip high schools have fulfilled the expectations of the students on higher levels in comparison to other schools. Also when it has been looked at the gains which affect their conditions of perception of their schools with their identites of being an imam hatip school’s student, it has been seen that their perception of piety has been distinguished through primarily their social role and responsibilities, personal and social qualities and it has been seen that they have contributed their identities through the experiences which they have gained in these topics. In case the problems with adult and peers which imam hatip school’s students face in the social environments where are out of the school, it has been understood that these students have positive experiences and they have been adopted by being approved when they fulfill the expectations which make the role of being a connection point towards adults and peers of these students. Except from this in the other conditions it has been ensued that students have faced with much more prejudice and behaviors of despised.
