Kocaeli Kartepe çuha fabrikası Av Köşkü’nün yapısal analiz ve malzeme istatistiklerine göre rekonstrüksiyon müdahaleleri

Abstract

Kartepe Çuha Fabrikası Sultan Abdülmecid’in emriyle 1844 yılında inşa edilmiştir. Askeri giysilerin alımı bu döneme kadar yurtdışından sağlandığından Sultan Tanzimat Dönemi ile askeriyenin ve yerli halkın giysi ihtiyacını karşılamak için Kocaeli’nde İzmit dışında bir fabrika kurulmasına karar vermiştir. Osmanlı’nın sanayileşme döneminin ilk fabrikalarından olan Çuha Fabrikası içinde 19.yy.’da Av Köşkü (Ahır Köşkü) de inşa edilmiştir. Kâgir yapım tekniğinde inşa edilmiş olan yapı 17 Ağustos 1999 yılı Marmara depremi sırasında hasar almış; yapısal çatlaklar, zeminde oturmalar, çökmeler oluşmuştur. Yapının malzeme analizleri, istatistik verileri, strüktürel analizleri birlikte değerlendirilmiştir. Yapılan tespitler sonucunda yapının ağır hasarlı olduğu, güçlendirme müdahalelerinin yetersiz kalacağı ve yapının rekonstrüksiyonun yapılması zorunlu olduğu görülmüştür. Özgün yapı malzemelerine (harman tuğlası ve harç) eş değerde yeni malzemelerle ve yumuşak yapılı bir zemine oturduğundan radye temel ile donatılı bir temel katmanı yapılarak yeniden inşa edilmesi önerilmiştir. Geleneksel sistemle ve özgün yapı malzemesiyle örülecek olan duvarların cam elyaf takviyeli sıva ile güçlendirilmesi, çelik takviye kuşaklarla duvarların ve çatı sisteminin birlikte çalışması öngörülmüştür. Yapının özgün ahşap çatı makası yapının rekonstrüksiyonu sırasında yeniden yapılacak ve çelik levhalarla takviye edilecektir. Endüstri mirasımız olan ve kaybolmaya yüz tutmuş Av Köşkü’nün yapım tekniği ve malzeme özellikleri birlikte değerlendirilerek benzer yapılar için de uygulanabilecek müdahale önerileri getirilmiştir.

Kartepe Broadcloth Factory (Çuhane) was built in 1844 by the order of Sultan Abdülmecid. Since the purchase of military clothing was provided from abroad until this period, the Sultan established a factory outside Izmit in Kocaeli to meet the clothing needs of the military and local people during the Tanzimat Period. In the 19th century, the Hunting Mansion (Av Köşkü) was built within the Factory, one of the first factories of the Ottoman industrialization period. The building, built using the masonry construction technique, was heavily damaged during the Marmara earthquake of 17 August 1999; structural cracks, settlements on the ground, and collapses had occurred. Material analysis, statistical data, and structural analysis of the building, whose reconstruction is inevitable, were evaluated in this article. As a result of the determinations, it was seen that the structure was heavily damaged, the strengthening interventions would not be sufficient and the building would have to be reconstructed. It is proposed to reconstruct the building with a foundation layer, reinforced with a raft foundation because of the soft soil, using new materials that correspond to the original building materials (blend brick and mortar). It is envisaged that the walls, which will be built with the traditional system and original building material, are to be strengthened with glass fiber reinforced plaster, and the walls and roof system to work together with steel reinforcement belts. The original wooden roof truss of the building will be rebuilt and reinforced with steel plates during the reconstruction of the structure. The construction technique and material properties of the Hunting Lodge, which is our industrial heritage and which is on the verge of disappearing, were evaluated together, and intervention proposals that could be applied for similar structures.
