Okul müdürlerinin karizmatik liderlik özelliklerinin okul gelişimine etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, farklı okul kademelerinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin karizmatik liderlik özelliklerinin okul gelişimine etkisini belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma nicel bir araştırma yönteminde olup, ilişkisel tarama modelinde gerçekleştirilmiş bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evrenini 2019-2020 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Kartal ilçesinde bulunan ilkokul, ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan 3654 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi ise basit seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemine göre ulaşılan; ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise kademelerinde görev yapan toplam 447 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan '' Kişisel Bilgi Formu'' ayrıca veri toplama aracı olarak "Karizmatik Liderlik Ölçeği (KLÖ)" ile "Okul Geliştirme Anketi" kullanılmıştır. Veriler t- testi, ANOVA, korelâsyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda okul müdürlerinin karizmatik liderlik özellikleri ile okul geliştirme arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu gözlenmiş ve okul müdürlerinin karizmatik liderlik özelliklerinin okul geliştirmenin bir yordayıcısı olduğu görülmüştür.

This study aims to determine the effect of charismatic leadership characteristics of school principals on school development according to the perceptions of teachers working in different school levels. The study is in a quantitative research method and it is a research conducted in relational survey model. The universe of the research consists of 3654 teachers working in primary, secondary and high schools in Kartal, a district of the province Istanbul in the academic year 2019-2020. The sample of the research was obtained according to the simple random sampling method; It consists of a total of 447 teachers working at primary, secondary and high school levels. "Charismatic Leadership Scale (CLS)" and "School Improvement Survey" were used as data collection tools in the study. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the study, it was observed that there was a significant relationship between the charismatic leadership characteristics of school principals and school development, and it was observed that the charismatic leadership traits of school principals were a predictor of school development.
