Ortaokul öğrencilerinde okul bağlılığının anne baba tutumu ve çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada ortaokul öğrencilerinde okul bağlılığının anne baba tutumu ile ilişkisinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu temel amaç çerçevesinde, ortaokul öğrencilerinin okula bağlılık ve anne baba tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenlere göre aralarındaki anlamlı farklılık araştırılmıştır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma modellerinden ilişiksel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu 2020-2021 eğitim ve öğretim yılı içerisinde İstanbul ili Sultanbeyli İlçesindeki ortaokullarda öğrenim görmekte olan 285 kız, 187 erkek toplam 472 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada "Okul Bağlılığı Ölçeği", "Anne-Baba Tutum Ölçeği" ve "Kişisel Bilgi Formu" kullanılmıştır. Veri seti normal dağılım gösterdiği için ikili grupların karşılaştırılmasında t testi, ikiden fazla değişken gruplarının karşılaştırılmasında ise tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin yordanmasında aşamalı regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ortaokul öğrencilerinin okula bağlılığı ile kabul-ilgi alt boyutu ve denetleme alt boyutu arasında pozitif yönde orta düzeyde bir ilişki, okul bağlılığı ile psikolojik özerklik alt boyutu pozitif yönde yüksek bir düzeyde ilişki bulunmuştur. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin kabul- ilgi alt boyutunun okula bağlılığın önemli bir yordayıcısı olduğu, toplam varyansının %22'sini açıkladığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin psikolojik özerklik alt boyutunun okula bağlılığın önemli bir yordayıcısı olduğu, toplam varyansının %74'ünü açıkladığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin denetim alt boyutunun okula bağlılığın önemli bir yordayıcısı olduğu, toplam varyansının %77'sini açıkladığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin okula bağlılık düzeyleri kardeş sayısı, doğum sırası, sosyo- ekonomik düzey, anne eğitim düzeyi ve baba eğitim düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken; cinsiyet ve sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin kabul/ ilgi düzeyleri kardeş sayısı, doğum sırası, sosyo- ekonomik düzeye göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken; cinsiyete, sınıf düzeyi, anne eğitim düzeyi ve baba eğitim düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin psikolojik özerklik ve denetim düzeyleri kardeş sayısı, doğum sırası, sosyo- ekonomik düzey, anne eğitim düzeyi ve baba eğitim düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken; cinsiyet, sınıf düzeyine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir.

In this study, it was aimed to examine the relationship between school engagement and parental attitude in middle school students. Within the framework of this main purpose, the significant difference between middle school students' school engagement and parental attitudes according to various variables was investigated. In the research, the relational survey model, one of the quantitative research models, was used. The study sample, on the other hand, consists of 285 girls and 187 boys, a total of 472 students in the Sultanbeyli District of Istanbul in the 2020-2021 academic year. "School Engagement Scale", "Parental Attitude Scale" and "Personal Information Form" were used in the research. Since the data set has a normal distribution, the t-test was used for the comparison of binary groups, and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to compare groups of more than two variables. If the difference was found to be significant, Tukey test was applied. As a result of the research, a moderate positive relationship was found between middle school students' school engagement, acceptance-interest sub-dimension and supervision sub-dimension, and a high-level positive relationship between school engagement and psychological autonomy sub-dimension. It was concluded that the acceptance-interest sub-dimension of middle school students was an important predictor of school engagement, explaining 22% of its total variance. It was concluded that the psychological autonomy sub-dimension of middle school students is an important predictor of school engagement, explaining 74% of its total variance. It was concluded that the supervision sub-dimension of middle school students was an important predictor of school engagement, explaining 77% of its total variance. While the level of school engagement of middle school students does not differ significantly according to the number of siblings, birth order, socio-economic level, mother's education level and father's education level; There are significant differences according to gender and grade level. While the acceptance/ affinity levels of middle school students did not differ significantly according to the number of siblings, birth order and socio-economic level; gender, grade level, mother's education level and father's education level differ significantly. While the psychological autonomy and control levels of middle school students do not differ significantly according to the number of siblings, birth order, socio-economic level, mother's education level and father's education level; gender differed significantly according to grade level.
