İlkokul öğrencilerinde okulda pozitif yaşantıların ve okul yaşam kalitesinin okul doyumu üzerindeki etkisinin araştırılması

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilkokul öğrencilerinin pozitif yaşantılar ve okul yaşam kalitesinin okul doyumu üzerindeki etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda 2016-2017 eğitim-öğretim yılı İstanbul ili Ümraniye ilçesinde öğrenim gören 4. Sınıf öğrencilere Okul Doyumu Ölçeği, Okulda Pozitif Yaşantılar Ölçeği ve Okul Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırmacı bir devlet ilkokulunda 4. Sınıf öğretmenliği yaptığı için ve ölçekler 4.sınıf öğrencilerinin gelişimine uygun olduğu için anketleri o yıl okuldaki okuyan bütün 4.sınıf öğrencilerinde uygulamayı seçmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda okul doyumu cinsiyete, anne ve baba eğitim durumuna ve okul öncesi eğitim alıp almamaya göre farklılaşmazken; algılanan okul başarısına göre farklılaşmaktadır. Okul doyumu üzerinde değişkenlerin etkisini belirlemeye yönelik olarak yapılan basit ve çoklu regresyon analizleri sonucunda, okul doyumu üzerinde okulda pozitif yaşantılar toplam puanının etkisi anlamlı bulunmuştur. Ancak okul doyumu üzerinde okulda pozitif yaşantılar alt boyutlarından minnettarlık ve yaşam coşkusu puanları okul doyumunu anlamlı şekilde açıklamaktadır. Aynı şekilde, okul doyumu üzerinde okul yaşam kalitesi toplam puanının etkisi de anlamlıdır. Ancak okul doyumu üzerinde okul yaşam kalitesi alt boyutlarından öğretmen, okula yönelik duygular, okul yönetimi ve statü puanları okul doyumunu anlamlı şekilde açıklamaktadır. Bu araştırma, öğrencilerin okul doyumlarının, hem minnettarlık içinde olmalarından ve yaşam coşkusu duygularına sahip olmalarından; hem de okuldaki öğretmen, okulu sevip sevmemeleri, okulu yöneten idarenin tutumu ve okulun diğer okullardan farklı olarak algılanması gibi faktörlerden etkilendiğini göstermektedir. Araştırma sonuçları literatür ışığında tartışılmıştır.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the effect of positive school experiences and the quality of school life to the school satisfaction on the primary school students.In accordance with this purpose in 2016-2017 academic year the School Satisfaction Scale , Positive Experiences at School Scale and School quality scale were applied to the fourth graders at primary school in Umraniye. As a result of analysiswhile the school satisfaction doesn’t show differences according to gender, mother and father’s education status and having preschool education or not, it shows differences in accordance with perceived school success. As a result of simple and multi regression analysis which were made to determine the effect of variables on the school satisfaction, the effect of positive experiences total score on school satisfaction was found remarkable. But the sub-dimensions of school experiences; gratitude and joy of life have a great effect on school satisfaction. Likewise the effect of school-life quality total score on school satisfaction is remarkable. But the sub-dimensions of the school-life quality; tecaher,school oriented feelings,school management and status score clarify school satisfaction meaningfully.This research shows the school satisfaction of students are affected from many factors as;their being gratitude and having joy of life,their teachers,loving school or not,the attitude of school management,the attitude of school management and perceiving school different from the other schools.The results of this resarch were discussed in accordance with literature.
