Okul yöneticilerinin bilgi teknolojileri kullanım öz yeterliliklerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise okul yöneticilerinin teknoloji kullanım yeterliliklerini tespit ederek yöneticilerin cinsiyetlerine, yaşlarına, öğretmenlik ve yöneticilik görev sürelerine, yöneticilik kademelerine ve mezun olunan en son eğitim programına, görevli olduğu okul kademesine (ilkokul, ortaokul, lise) göre teknoloji kullanım düzeylerinin farklılık gösterip göstermediğini belirlemektir. Tarama modeli kullanılan araştırmanın evrenini 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul ili, Güngören ve Bahçelievler ilçelerindeki devlet okulları arasında görev yapan okul yöneticileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, evreni temsilen örneklem alma yolu izlenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, İstanbul ili Güngören ve Bahçelievler ilçelerinde bulunan 37 ilkokul, 67 ortaokul, 37 liseden basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 141 okul yöneticisi oluşturmuştur. Veriler kurum yöneticileri ile yüzyüze görüşülerek toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler bilgisayar ortamına aktarıldıktan sonra SPSS programı yardımıyla veriler tablolar haline getirilmiştir. Okul yöneticilerinin görüşleri arasında anlamlı farklılık olup olamadığını belirlemek amacıyla, verilerin non-parametrik olmasından dolayı Mann- Whitney U testi ve Kruskal Wallis testi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları aşağıda verilmiştir: Genç okul yöneticilerinin bilgi teknolojileri kullanımı, yaşça büyük yöneticilere göre daha yeterli olduğu görülmüştür. Öğretmenlik görev süresi ve yöneticilik görev süresi arttıkça yöneticilerin genel itibariyle bilgi teknolojileri yeterlilik düzeylerinin azaldığı görülmüştür. Bu sonuç yaş ile paralellik göstermiştir. Yöneticilerin eğitim düzeylerine göre bakıldığında lisans ve yüksek lisans mezunu okul yöneticilerinin anket formu'nun bütünü ve alt boyutlarından aldıkları puanlar açısından anlamlı farklılık olmadığı görülür. Yani lisans ve yüksek lisans mezunu okul yöneticilerinin bilgisayar yeterliliklerinin benzer olduğu söylenebilir. Okul kademelerine göre ise ilkokul yöneticilerinin bilgi teknolojileri yeterlilikleri en yüksek, ortaokul yöneticilerinin bilgi teknoloji yeterlilikleri ise en düşük yeterliliğe sahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda kadın ve erkek okul yöneticileri arasında teknoloji öz yeterlik algısı açısından anlamlı farklılık bulunmamaktadır. Yani kadın ve erkek okul yöneticilerinin bilgisayar yeterlilik algılarının benzer olduğu söylenebilir.

The aim of this study is to determine the technology usage competencies of primary school, middle school and high school administrators and to determine the level of use of technology according to the gender, age, the years of teaching and management, the most recent education program, to determine whether or not it differs. The population of the research used in the survey model is composed of the school administrators who work in public schools in Istanbul, Gungoren and Bahçelievler districts in the academic year of 2017-2018. In the research, the way to take the sample representing the universe was followed. The sample of the study consisted of 143 primary schools, 67 secondary schools and 41 high schools from 37 high schools in Gungoren and Bahçelievler districts of Istanbul. The data were collected by face-to-face interviews with the managers of the institution. After the collected data were transferred to computer environment, data were converted into tables by using SPSS program. In order to determine whether there is a significant difference between the opinions of the school administrators, Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis test were used because of the non-parametric data. The results of the research are as follows: It has been observed that the use of information technology by young school administrators is more adequate than the senior managers. It has been observed that the general level of information technology proficiency of the managers decreased as the duration of the teaching period and the duration of the managerial duties increased. This result was parallel with age. When evaluated according to the education level of the managers, it is seen that there is no significant difference between the undergraduate and graduate graduate school administrators in terms of the total score of the questionnaire and their sub-dimensions. In other words, it can be said that computer administrators of undergraduate and graduate graduate school administrators are similar. According to the school levels, the information technology qualifications of the primary school administrators are the highest and the information technology qualifications of the middle school administrators have the lowest qualification. When examined according to gender, it was determined that male managers have higher technology usage qualifications than female managers.
