Koroner arter hastalarının bilgi düzeyi ve eğitim gereksinimleri

Abstract

Araştırma koroner arter hastalarının bilgi düzeyi ve eğitim gereksinimlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel nitelikteki araştırma İstanbul ilinde bir kamu hastanesinde kardiyoloji servislerinde yatan 300 hasta ile gerçekleştirildi. Verilerin toplanmasında Hasta Bilgi Formu, Koroner Arter Hastalığı Eğitim Anketi-2 ve Hasta Öğrenim Gereksinimleri Ölçeği kullanıldı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Shapiro-Wilk, Student-t testi, Mann-Whitney U, Games-Howell, Kruskal-Wallis, Dunn-Bonferroni testleri, Tek Yönlü varyans analizi, Spearman korelasyon analizi ve Linear regrasyon analizi kullanıldı. Çalışmaya katılan hastaların yaş ortalaması 63,66±12,70 yıl olup, %54,7'si erkek, %52,3'ü ilkokul mezunu ve %33,7'si emeklidir. KAH Eğitim Anketi-2'nin toplam ve tıbbi durum, risk faktörleri, egzersiz, beslenme, psikososyal risk alt boyut puan ortalaması sırasıyla 38,41±21,60, 9,41±5,62, 6,81±4,07, 8,56±5,61, 7,13±4,00, 6,51±4,38 olarak, HÖGÖ toplam puan ortalaması 151,58±36,90 ve ilaçlar, yaşam aktiviteleri, toplum ve izlem, duruma ilişkin duygular, tedavi ve komplikasyonlar, yaşam kalitesi, cilt bakımı alt boyut puanları önemlilik düzeyleri sırasıyla 3,25, 3,02, 2,98, 2,65, 3,18, 3,11, 2,74 olarak bulundu. Hastaların KAH Eğitim Anketi-2 toplamından aldıkları puanlar ile HÖGÖ puan toplamları arasında pozitif yönlü, yüksek düzeyde, istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki saptandı (r=0,819, p=0,001; p<0,01). Araştırma sonucunda koroner arter hastalarının bilgi düzeylerinin yetersiz olduğu, öğrenim gereksinimlerinin ne az ne çok önemli olduğu bulundu. Koroner arter hastalarının bilgi düzeyi yükseldikçe öğrenim gereksinimleride artmaktadır.

The study was conducted to determine the knowledge levels and educational needs of coronary artery patients. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 300 patients hospitalized in the cardiology unit of a public hospital in Istanbul. Patient Information Form, Coronary Artery Disease Education Questionnaire-II and Patient Learning Needs Scale were used to collect data. Data were evaluated using descriptive statistics, Shapiro-Wilk, Student's t-test, Mann-Whitney U, Games-Howell, Kruskal-Wallis, Dunn-Bonferroni tests, one-way analysis of variance, Spearman correlation analysis and Linear regression analysis. The mean age of the patients participating in the study was 63.66±12.70 years, 54.7% were male, 52.3% were primary school graduates and 33.7% were retired. Mean scores from the CAD Education Questionnaire-II in total and from its medical condition, risk factors, exercise, nutrition, and psychosocial risk domains were 38.41±21.60, 9.41±5.62, 6.81±4.07, 8.56±5.61, 7.13±4.00 and 6.51±4.38, respectively. The mean score from the PLNS in total was 151.58±36.90 and the mean scores from its medications, activities of living, community and follow-up, feelings related to the condition, treatment and complications, quality of life, skin care subscales were 3.25, 3.02, 2.98, 2.65, 3.18, 3.11, 2.74, respectively. A positive, high-level, statistically significant correlation was found between the patients' total scores from the CAD Education Questionnaire-II and the PLNS scores (r=0.819, p=0.001; p<0.01). The results of the study demonstrated that coronary artery patients had an insufficient level of knowledge, and their learning needs were neither too little nor too much. As the level of knowledge of coronary artery patients increased, their educational needs also increased.
