Bir sosyal bilim disiplini olarak sosyal çalışmanın Türkiye’de bilgi sorunu

Abstract

Sosyal bilimler içinde yer alan sosyal çalışmanın üzerinde şekillendiği üç temel bulunmaktadır. Bunlar; bilgi, beceri ve değer temelleridir. Sosyal çalışmanın bilgi temeli multidisipliner ve disiplinlerarası bir yapıdadır ve sosyal çalışmayı diğer sosyal bilimlerle irtibat hâlinde tutan bileşenidir. Ancak bilgi temeli; sosyal çalışmanın uygulamalı bir disiplin olması dolayısıyla hem teorinin uygulamaya aktarılması aşamasında hem de bu aktarımı yaparken kültürel farklılığın ortaya çıkması sebebiyle bir soruna dönüşebilmektedir. Sosyal çalışmanın bilgi temeli üzerine yapılan bu çalışma kapsamında, literatür taraması sonucu sorunu oluşturduğu gözlemlenen etmenler belirlenmiş ve tasnif edilerek değerlendirilmiştir. Bu bağlamda sosyal çalışmanın kültürel göreceliği, tercüme eser sorunu, uygulama-teori uyuşmazlığı, yerli bilgi eksikliği ve bilgi temelinin multidisipliner yapısı ayrıntılı şekilde incelenmiştir. Bu çalışma ile Türkiye’de sosyal çalışma alanında mevcut bilgi sorununun belirlenmesi ve tanımlanması amaçlanmıştır.

There are three foundations on which social work in social sciences is shaped: knowledge, skills, and value. The knowledge basis of social work has a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary structure and it is the component that keeps social work in contact with other social sciences. However, as social work is an applied discipline, the knowledge basis can turn into a problem both during the transfer of theory to practice and also due to the emergence of cultural differences in this transfer. Within the scope of this study on the knowledge basis of the social studies, the factors observed to be the cause of the problem were identified and classified as a result of the literature review. In this context, the cultural relativity of social work, the problem of translated works, the discrepancy between practice and theory, the lack of local knowledge and the multidisciplinary structure of the knowledge basis were examined in detail. This study aimed to determine and identify the existing knowledge problem in the social work field in Turkey.
