İmam hatip ortaokulu mezunu öğrencilerin imam hatip lisesini tercih etmeme sebepleri (Karaman İli örneği)

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, temel eğitimini İmam Hatip Ortaokulunda tamamlayıp ortaöğretim sürecinde İmam Hatip Liselerini tercih etmeyen öğrencilerin durumları incelenmiştir. 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında gerçekleştirilen çalışma, Karaman ilindeki ortaöğretim kurumlarında öğrenim gören öğrenciler ile yürütülmüştür. Uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen katılımcı grubunu 350 (193 kız, 157 erkek) 9. ve 10. sınıf öğrencisi ile bu öğrencilerden 30’unun velisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma yöntemsel olarak nicel ve nitel verilerin kullanıldığı karma yöntem deseni modelinde tasarlanmıştır. Bu bağlamda öğrenciler için yapılandırılmış üçlü likert tipi sorulardan oluşan anket tekniği, veliler için de yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği uygulanmıştır. Anket hazırlanırken uzman görüş ve değerlendirmelerinin alınması neticesinde 27 soruluk anket tasarlanmış ve buna uyumlu 7 yarı yapılandırılmış soru belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilere yöneltilen soruların cevabı frekans analizi yapılarak yorumlanmıştır. Velilerden elde edilen bulguların analizinde ise betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmış ve yoruma tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırma sonucunda, öğrencilerin İmam Hatip Liselerini tercih etmeme sebeplerinin kendi bireysel kararları olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Onların bu kararlarını etkileyen faktörlerin başında İmam Hatip Liselerinde bulunan meslek derslerinin üniversiteye hazırlık aşamasında başarıya engel olarak görülmesi, öğrencilerin kendilerini bu okullara ait hissetmemeleri, İmam Hatip Liselerinin akademik başarısının yeterli olmadığının düşünülmesi gibi nedenler gelmektedir.

This research was conducted to examine the situation of students who completed their primary education in imam hatip school and did not prefer imam hatip high schools for the secondary education. The study, conducted during the 2021-2022 academic year, was carried out with students attending secondary education institutions in the Karaman province. The participant group, determined through an appropriate sampling method, consists of 350 (193 female, 157 male) 9th and 10th-grade students, and 30 parents of these students. The research was designed using a mixed-methods design that utilizes both quantitative and qualitative data. In this context, a structured three-point Likert-type questionnaire technique was used for students, and a semi-structured interview technique was used for parents. As a result of obtaining expert opinions and evaluations during the preparation of the questionnaire, a 27-item questionnaire was designed for students, and 7 semi-structured questions were identified for parents. The answers to the questions posed to the students were interpreted through frequency analysis. For the analysis of the findings obtained from the parents, a descriptive analysis method was used and subjected to interpretation. As a result of the research, it has emerged that the reasons why students do not prefer Imam Hatip High School are their individual decisions. Factors influencing their decisions include the perception that vocational courses in Imam Hatip High Schools hinder success in university preparation, students not feeling a sense of belonging to these schools, and the perception that the academic success of Imam Hatip High Schools is insufficient.
