Distopik gelecek bağlamında mekân kavramı üzerine bir uygulama

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın ana çıkış noktası, mevcut fiziksel çevre ve değişen ekosistemin orta vadeli bir gelecekte varacağı noktada konut mekânlarının yeniden nasıl yorumlanacağı sorusuna dayanmaktadır. Olası bir gelecekte varılacak olan ekosistemin nasıl olabileceği, bu ekosistem içinde insanın ne şekilde varlığını sürdürebileceği, tüm bunlar kapsamında insanın en temel ihtiyaçlarından biri olan barınmaya yönelik problemlerin nasıl çözülebileceği soruları çalışmanın başlangıç aşamalarını oluşturmuştur. Bu kapsamda değişen ekosistemin varacağı nokta için distopik bir çevre atmosferinden yola çıkılarak, bu çevreye entegre olabilecek konut mekânına dair yapılabilecek çalışmalar sorgulanmıştır. Fiziksel çevreyi bir konsept olarak değerlendirme fikriyle birlikte konutun da net bir fiziksel tariften ziyade bir imge ve atmosfer ürünü olarak nasıl ele alınabileceği değerlendirilmiştir. Sonraki aşamada, gelecek kurgusunun bir öngörü niteliğinde oluşturulması ve öngörülen gelecek senaryosu içerisinde yer alacak olan kullanıcı ile konut mekânına yönelik önerilerin, bir katılımcı grubu ile yapılacak alan çalışması doğrultusunda gerçekleştirilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Bu sayede katılımcıların gerçekleştireceği, birbirinden farklı, olası gelecek senaryoları ve konut imgesi önerileri üzerinden bir değerlendirme yapma fırsatı doğmuş olacaktır. Birinci modülde distopya ve ütopya kavramlarına dair teorik altyapı sunularak katılımcılarla paylaşılan metin ve izledikleri film örneği üzerinden bu kavramlara yönelik analizlerini gerçekleştirmeleri beklenmiştir. Yine birinci modülde yer alan sinema ile sinema ve mekân ilişkilerine yönelik çalışmada ilgili teorik altyapı sunulmuş, sonrasında katılımcıların izledikleri film örnekleri üzerinden filmlerde kullanılan ana kavram ve konseptlere yönelik çalışmaları ile film mekânlarını analiz ettikleri iki ayrı çalışma yapmaları beklenmiştir. Böylelikle çalışmanın temel kavram ve araçlarını oluşturan distopya, ütopya, sinema, mekân, temsil gibi başlıklar çalışmanın birinci modülü olarak ele alınmıştır. Tez çalışması kapsamında ikinci modülde bireysel olarak yapılan daha fazla film seti ve kavram setleri ile imgeye yönelik çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Üçüncü modülde hazırlanan anket çalışması ile bu saha çalışmasının faydaları ve getirileri sorgulanma fırsatı olmuştur.

The main starting point of this study is based on the question of how to reinterpret residential spaces at the point where the existing physical environment and the changing ecosystem will arrive in the medium-term future. The questions of how the ecosystem that will be reached in a possible future can be, how people can survive in this ecosystem, and how to solve the problems related to shelter, which is one of the most basic needs of human beings, constituted the initial stages of the study. In this context, for the point where the changing ecosystem will reach, starting from a dystopian environmental atmosphere, the studies that can be done on the space that can be integrated into this environment have been questioned. Along with the idea of evaluating the physical environment as a concept, how the space can be handled as an image and atmosphere product rather than an accurate physical description has been assessed. In the next stage, it aims to create future fiction as foresight and make suggestions for the user and the residential space, which will be included in the foreseen future scenario, in line with the fieldwork to be done with a group of participants. In this way, there will be an opportunity to evaluate the different possible future scenarios and space image suggestions that the participants will make. In the first module, the theoretical background on the concepts of dystopia and utopia was presented. They were expected to analyze these concepts based on the text shared with the participants and the movie they watched. Again in the first module, the related theoretical background was presented in the study on the relationship between cinema and cinema and space. Then the participants were expected to make two separate studies in which they analyzed the main concepts and concepts used in the films, and the film venues, based on the movie samples they watched. Thus, titles such as dystopia, utopia, cinema, space, representation, which constitute the basic concepts and tools of the study, are considered as the first module of the study.
