Velilerin çocuklarını Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı'na bağlı Kur'an kurslarına gönderme nedenleri ve beklentilerinin değerlendirilmesi: 4-6 yaş grubu üzerine bir çalışma

Abstract

Bu çalışma; velilerin Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı'nın 4-6 Yaş Kur'an Kurslarına çocuklarını neden gönderdiklerini tespit edip velilerin beklentilerinin saptanmaya çalışılması amacıyla yapılmıştır. Velilerin görüşlerini derinlemesine inceleyebilmek için nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden görüşme yöntemi ile yarı yapılandırılmış sorulardan oluşan görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Beş bölümden oluşan bu çalışma giriş, kavramsal çerçeve, araştırmanın yöntemi, saha çalışması ve sonuç bölümlerini içermektedir. İstanbul İl Müftülüğü'ne bağlı 4-6 Yaş Kur'an Kurslarının muhtelif semtlerinde eğitim gören çocukların velileri ile 2024 Ocak-Nisan ayları içerisinde görüşme yapılmıştır. On bir ilçede yirmi iki veli ile yapılan görüşmeler sonucunda 4-6 Yaş Kur'an Kursları hakkında velilerin bakış açısı ve beklentileri tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Velilerin çocuklarında gözlemledikleri davranış değişikliklerine ve ahlaki değerler kapsamında edinilen kazanımlarına da yer verilerek bu eğitimin çocuklar üzerindeki etkileri değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda velilerin genelinin bu kurumlardan, alınan eğitimden ve öğreticilerden memnun oldukları, beklentilerinin karşılandığı, çocukların bu kurumlardan aldıkları eğitim sonucunda müspet kazanımlar edindiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Yapılan görüşmeler neticesinde, okul öncesi eğitimin muhteviyatına ağırlık verilerek bu eğitimin pedagogla desteklenmesinin gerekliliği onucuna varılmıştır.

This study was conducted in order to assess the reasons parents send their children to the 4-6 year old Qur'an courses of the Presidency of Religious Affairs and to determine parents' expectations. To be able to examine parents' opinions in depth, qualitative research method was used. The data were collected through using semi-structural interviews. This study consisted of five chapters, which includes introduction, conceptual framework, research method, field research and conclusion. Interviews were held between January and April 2024 with twenty-two parents of the children attending 4-6 year old Qur'an courses in eleven districts affiliated with the Istanbul Provincial Mufti's Office and as a result of interviews, the parents' perspectives and expectations about Qur'an courses for 4-6 year old children were tried to be identified. This study also dealt with the effects of this education on children, including the behavioural changes that parents observed in their children and the achievements parents gained within the scope of moral values. According to the study, it was concluded that the majority of the parents were satisfied with these institutions, the education received and the instructors. It was also concluded that parents' expectations were met, and positive outcomes were achieved in the behaviour of the children with the education they received from these institutions. As a result of the interviews, it was deduced that the content of pre-school education should be given more importance and be supported by a pedagogue.
