Abstract

İstanbul, doğal güzelliği, tarihsel derinliği ile stratejik önemi üst üste örtüşen dünyanın müstesna şehirlerinden biridir. Ancak plansız kentleşme ve trafik yoğunluğu şehrin tüm potansiyelini perdelemektedir. Kentleşme sorunu sadece binaların dönüşüm ile çözümlenmeye çalışılırken, trafik sorununun tek çözümü olan toplu ulaşım etkin bir şekilde uygulanamamaktadır. Etkin bir toplu ulaşım; optimum güzergâh tespiti, rasyonel toplu ulaşım modları ve toplu ulaşıma dair nitelikli bilgi ile mümkündür. Tarifeye dayalı hizmetler için bir tahsilât yöntemi olarak da adlandırılan elektronik ücret toplama sistemi, aynı zamanda bir elektronik bilgi toplama sistemidir. Genel manada ödeme sistemlerinin bir alt bileşeni olan elektronik ücret toplama sistemi, toplu ulaşıma erişimi kolaylaştıran ve yaygınlaştıran en etkin çözümlerden biridir. İdeal bir elektronik ücret toplama sistemi için bankacılık ve EMV sistemlerine entegrasyon önemlidir.

Istanbul is one of the world’s exceptional cities that its natural beauty, historical deepness and strategic importance overlap. But unplanned urbanization and traffic congestion hide all potentials of the city. While urbanization problem is tried to solve only by building transformation, mass transportation which is unique solution for traffic, cannot be efficiently applied. An efficient mass transportation is possible by means of optimum route mapping, rational mode of mass transportation and qualitative information regarding to mass transportation. Electronic fare collection system that can be called as a collection method for tariff–based payment methods of services is also an electronic information collection system. Electronic fare collection system that, in general, is a subcomponent of payment systems, and is the most efficient solution that easier and extends the accessibility of mass transportation. The integration to banking and EMV systems is substantial for an ideal electronic fare collection system.
