Kürk Mantolu Madonna romanında özgün deyimler

Abstract

Bir kavram ya da durumu etkili, kısa bir biçimde anlatmak için sıklıkla sözcüklerden bir veya birkaçının ilk anlamından uzaklaşarak kalıplaşan ve en az iki sözcükten oluşan dil öbeklerine deyim denir. Bir milletin kültüründe, yaşam tarzında, düşünce hayatındaki gelişme ve değişmelerin etkisiyle söz varlığında olduğu gibi deyimlerde de yeni oluşumlar meydana gelebilir. Doğal bir süreç gibi kabul edilebilecek bu husus dili sanatlı kullanma ihtimamını gösteren yazarların/şairlerin eserlerinde müşahede edilebilir. Sabahattin Ali’nin Kürk Mantolu Madonna romanında da deyimlere ait bu tür yeni oluşumlar tespit edilmiştir. Yazar tarafından oluşturulan bu deyimlere çalışmada özgün deyim adının verilmesi uygun görülmüştür. Bu terim; deyimin tanımına, yapısına ve oluşum özelliğine uyan ancak sözlüklerde yer almayıp yazarın kendi üretimi şeklinde karşımıza çıkan deyimleri karşılar. İnceleme metni olarak seçilen roman üzerinden hazırlanan bu çalışmada amaç, deyim(ler)in teorik olarak ne olup olmadığını, sınırlılıklarını, çerçevesini belirlemeye çalışmak ayrıca tespit edilen otuz yedi özgün deyimi, anlamları ile birlikte açıklamaktır. Ek olarak, özgün deyimlerin tespitiyle bir romanın dile ne gibi zenginlikler katabileceği, dilin yeni deyimler ortaya çıkarabileceği kanıtlanmak istenmiş ve tespit edilen bu deyimlerin hazırlanacak ya da güncellenecek deyimler sözlüklerine eklenmesi teklif edilmiştir.

In order to describe a concept or situation in an effective, short way, idioms are phrases consisting of at least two words that are often stereotyped by moving away from the first meaning of one or more of the words . New formations may occur in idioms as well as in vocabulary with the effect of developments and changes in a nation's culture, lifestyle, and intellectual life. This issue, which can be regarded as a natural process, can be observed in the works of writers/poets who show care to use language artistically. In Sabahattin Ali’s novel named Madonna with the Fur Coat such new formations of idioms were identified. It was deemed appropriate to name these idioms created by the author as the original idiom in the study. This term It meets the idioms that comply with the definition, structure, and formation feature of the idiom, but are not included in the dictionaries and appear as the author's own production. The aim of this study, which is based on the novel chosen as the text of the analysis, is to try to determine what the idiom(s) is theoretically, its limitations and framework, and also to explain the thirty-seven idioms identified together with their meanings. In addition, it was aimed to prove what kind of richness a novel can add to the language by identifying original idioms, and what newidioms the language can create, and it is proposed to add these idioms identified to the idioms dictionaries to be prepared or updated.
