Teknoloji destekli matematik öğretimine ilişkin öğretim elemanlarının görüşleri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada teknoloji destekli matematik öğretimin öğretim elemanlarınca değerlendirilmesi ve bunun sonucunda ortaya çıkan görüşlerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın problem cümlesi, "Teknoloji destekli matematik öğretimin salt matematikçi ve matematik eğitimcisi olan öğretim elemanları tarafından değerlendirilmesi sonucunda ortaya çıkan görüşler nelerdir?" dir. Çalışma, nitel araştırma desenlerinden durum çalışması ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Öğretim elemanlarının görüşleri Google form ile oluşturulan 4 soruluk bir yapılandırılmış görüşme formu yardımıyla toplanmış olup çalışmaya 167 öğretim elemanı katılmıştır. Veriler betimsel analiz yöntemi ile işlenerek Maxqda 2020 programı ile kodlama yapılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler çalışmanın bulgular kısmında; tema, kod, alt kod biçiminde gösterilip öğretim elemanlarının yaş, unvan, fakülte değişkenlerine göre görüşleri tablolar yardımıyla gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca öğretim elemanlarının teknoloji destekli matematik öğretimine yönelik görüşleri Duyuşsal Alan, Uluslararası Sınavlar, Matematik Tarihi ve Küreselleşme temaları altında bulgular bölümünde incelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuç bölümünde ise bulgularda elde edilen öğretim elemanlarının görüşlerinin değerlendirilmesi ve bu değerlendirmelerin daha önce yapılmış olan çalışmalarla olan benzerliği ve farklılığı ortaya konulmuştur.

In this study, it is aimed to evaluate the technology supported mathematics teaching by the instructors and to determine the opinions that emerge as a result. The problem statement of the research is, "What are the opinions that emerge as a result of the evaluation of technology-supported mathematics teaching by teaching staff who are only mathematicians and mathematics educators?" is. The study was carried out with a case study, one of the qualitative research designs. The opinions of the lecturers were collected with the help of a structured interview form consisting of 4 questions created with the Google form, and 167 lecturers participated in the study. The data were processed with the descriptive analysis method and coded with the Maxqda 2020 program. The data obtained in the findings part of the study; themes, codes, and sub-codes, and the views of the instructors according to age, title and faculty variables are shown with the help of tables. In addition, the views of the instructors on technology-supported mathematics teaching were examined in the findings section under the themes of Affective Domain, International Examinations, History of Mathematics and Globalization. In the conclusion part of the study, the evaluation of the opinions of the instructors obtained in the findings and the similarity and difference of these evaluations with the previous studies were presented.
