Okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel liderlik davranışlarının okul mutluluğuna etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel liderlik davranışlarının okul mutluluğuna etkisi incelemektir. Araştırma ilişkisel tarama modeline uygun olarak yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evreni 2020-2021 Eğitim Öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Üsküdar İlçesinde farklı tür ve kademelerde görev yapan öğretmenlerdir. Rastgele seçilen 20 okuldan 419 öğretmen örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Veri toplamak amacıyla kişisel bilgi formu, Öğretim Liderliği Davranışları Ölçeği ve Okul Mutluluk Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel liderlik davranışlarının ve öğretmenlerin okul mutluluğu algılarının “yüksek” düzeyde olduğu görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin öğretimsel liderlik ve okul mutluluğu algıları cinsiyetlerine, kıdemlerine ve eğitim durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılık göstermemektedir. İlkokulda görev yapan öğretmenlerin, lisede görev yapan öğretmenlere kıyasla okul mutluluğu algıları daha yüksektir. İlkokul ve ortaokulda görev yapan öğretmenlerin öğretimsel liderlik algıları, lise kademesinde görev yapan öğretmenlere göre daha yüksektir. Okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel liderlik davranışları ile öğretmenlerin okul mutluluğu algıları arasında pozitif yönde ve orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişki bulunmuştur. Okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel liderlik davranışlarının, okul mutluluğunu anlamlı bir şekilde yordadığı tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre okul müdürlerinin öğretimsel liderlik davranışları, öğretmenlerin okul mutluluğundaki toplam varyansın %19’unu açıklamaktadır. Okul müdürleri okul uygulamalarında öğretimsel liderlik davranışlarını sergiledikçe veya geliştirdikçe, okul mutluluğu da olumlu yönde ve önemli ölçüde etkilenmektedir.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of instructional leadership behaviors of school principals on school happiness according to teachers' opinions. The research was conducted in accordance with the relational survey model. The universe of the research is the teachers who work in different types and levels in Üsküdar district of Istanbul in the academic year of 2020-2021. 419 teachers from 20 randomly selected schools constituted the sample. Personal information form, Instructional Leadership Behavior Scale and School Happiness Scale were used to collect data. As a result of the research, it was observed that the instructional leadership behaviors of school principals and teachers' perception of school happiness were at a "high" level. Teachers' perceptions of instructional leadership and school happiness do not differ significantly according to their gender, seniority and educational status. The happiness perceptions of teachers working at primary school level are higher compared to teachers working at high school level. The instructional leadership perceptions of teachers working at primary and secondary school levels are higher than teachers working at high school levels. A positive and moderately significant relationship was found between school principals 'instructional leadership behaviors and teachers' perceptions of school happiness. It was determined that instructional leadership behaviors of school principals significantly predicted school happiness. Accordingly, instructional leadership behaviors of school principals explain 19% of the Toplam variance in teachers' school happiness. School principals exhibit or develop instructional leadership behaviors in school practices, school happiness is positively and significantly affected.
