Ergen Geleceğe Yönelik Düşünce Ölçeği: Türk Kültürüne Uyarlanması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada Ergen Geleceğe Yönelik Düşünce Ölçeği'nin Türkiye'deki geçerlilik ve güvenirliği incelenmiştir. ‘‘Ergen Geleceğe Yönelik Düşünce Ölçeği’’ üç alt boyuttan, on sekiz maddeden ve beşli Likert ölçeğinden oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin Türk kültürüne uyarlanması sürecine başlamadan önce, ilk olarak sorumlu yazardan e-posta yoluyla izin talep edilmiştir. Ölçek için gerekli izin alındıktan sonra, beş ayrı uzman orijinal ölçek maddelerini İngilizceden Türkçeye çevirmiştir. Daha sonra doktora öğrencilerinden oluşan bir panel ile çeviri süreci devam etmiştir. Daha sonra iki uzman Türkçe formu tekrar İngilizceye çevirmiş ve maddelerin dilsel açıdan anlaşılabilirliğini değerlendirmek üzere otuz katılımcının yer aldığı bir pilot çalışma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bir dil uzmanının yardımı ve pilot çalışmadan elde edilen girdilerle nihai Türkçe form oluşturulmuştur. Türkçe formun son hali, bir Türk dili uzmanının yardımı ve pilot çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlarla hazırlanmıştır. Dilsel eşdeğerlik çalışmasında, otuz kişilik bir gruba üç hafta aralıklarla önce İngilizce form uygulanmış, ardından aynı gruba Türkçe form uygulanmıştır. Maddeler arası korelasyon ve bağımlı grup t-testi analizleri yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin analizlerinin başında normallik analizi yapılmış ve basıklık çarpıklık değerlerinin beklenen aralıklarda olduğu bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin Türkçe geçerliğini değerlendirmek için yapısal eşitlik modelinin doğrulayıcı faktör analizi uygulanmış, güvenirliğini test etmek amacıyla iç tutarlılık katsayısı değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Güvenilirlik ve geçerlilik değerlerine göre ölçeğin Türk kültürüne uygun olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

: In this study, the validity and reliability of the Adolescent Future Thinking Scale in Turkey was examined. ‘’Adolescent Future Thinking Scale‘’ consists of three sub-dimensions, eighteen items and a five point Likert scale. Before starting the process of adapting the scale to Turkish culture, permission was first requested from the responsible author via e-mail. After obtaining the necessary permission for the scale, five different experts translated the original scale items from English to Turkish. Then, the translation process continued with a panel of doctoral students. Then, two experts translated the Turkish form back into English and a pilot study was conducted with thirty participants to evaluate the linguistic comprehensibility of the items. The final Turkish form was created with the help of a language expert and the inputs obtained from the pilot study. The final version of the Turkish form was prepared with the help of a Turkish language expert and the results obtained from the pilot study. In the linguistic equivalence study, the English form was first administered to a group of thirty people at three-week intervals, and then the Turkish form was administered to the same group. Inter-item correlation and dependent group t-test analyses were performed. At the beginning of the analyses of the scale, normality analysis was performed and kurtosis and skewness values were found to be within the expected ranges. Confirmatory factor analysis of the structural equation model was applied to evaluate the Turkish validity of the scale, and internal consistency coefficient values were calculated to test its reliability. According to the reliability and validity values, it was concluded that the scale is suitable for Turkish culture.The ethics committee approval of the study was obtained according to the decision of Marmara University Institute of Educational Sciences Research and Publication Ethics Committee dated 15.12.2023 and numbered 12-24.
