Öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılığının performansına etkisi: Özel ve devlet okulu karşılaştırması

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı özel ve devlet okullarında görevli öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılıklarının performans düzeylerine olan etkisinin incelenmesidir. Bu kapsamda araştırma, nicel desenli araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama yöntemine göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırma için İstanbul ilinde kamu okullarında 198, özel okullarda 191 olmak üzere toplam 389 öğretmen üzerinde anket uygulanmıştır. Anket formu içerisinde öğretmenleri tanımlayıcı nitelikte soruların yanında Örgütsel Bağlılık Ölçeği ve Öğretmen Performans Ölçeği yer almaktadır. İstanbul ilindeki özel ve devlet okullarındaki öğretmenlerden elde edilen verilere bağmsız örneklem t-testi, korelasyon analizi ve regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgularda özel ve devlet okullarında görevli öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılıklarının performans düzeyini pozitif yönde yordadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Okul türüne göre yapılan karşılaştırma sonucunda örgütsel bağlılığın anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı ve bu farklılıkta özel okullarda görevli öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılık düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Okul türü ile öğretmenlerin performans düzeyleri arasındaki farklılığıntespitine yönelik yapılan analiz sonucunda ise anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlardan yola çıkarak, devlet okullarında görevli öğretmenlerin okula bağlılığını arttırıcı eksik faktörlerin belirlenmesi, öğretmenlerin bağlılıklarının arttırılması amacıyla yöneticiler gerekli önlemlerin alınması ve öğretmenleri motive edici tedbirlerin alınması gerekmektedir.

The aim of the study is to examine the effect of the organizational commitment of teachers working in private and public schools on their performance levels. In this context, the research was carried out according to the relational screening method, one of the quantitative patterned research methods. For the research, a questionnaire was applied to a total of 389 teachers, 198 in public schools and 191 in private schools in Istanbul. In addition to the questions describing the teachers, there are Organizational Commitment Scale and Teacher Performance Scale in the questionnaire form. Independent sample t-test, correlation analysis and regression analysis were applied to the data obtained from teachers in private and public schools in Istanbul. In the findings, it was concluded that the organizational commitment of teachers working in private and public schools positively affects the performance level. As a result of the comparison made according to the school type, it was concluded that organizational commitment differed significantly and the organizational commitment levels of the teachers working in private schools were higher in this difference. As a result of the analysis made for the determination of the difference between the school type and the performance levels of the teachers, it was determined that there was no significant difference. Based on the results obtained, it is necessary to determine the missing factors that increase the commitment of the teachers working in public schools to the school, to increase the commitment of the teachers, and to take the necessary precautions by the administrators and to motivate the teachers.
