Sağlık Çalışanlarının Sağlık Turizmi Farkındalık Düzeyleri: Bir Şehir Hastanesi Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı gün geçtikçe önem kazanan sağlık turizmi hakkında sağlık hizmeti sunan kamu sağlık personellerinin sağlık turizmi bilgi ve farkındalık düzeylerini ölçmek, eksik yönleri belirlemek ve bunları gidermek için önerilerde bulunmaktır. Çalışma tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte planlanmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri anket yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklem sayısı 367 olarak belirlenmiştir. 367 olarak belirlen örneklem sayısına ulaşılamamış çalışma 311 veri ile sınırlandırılmıştır. Kullanılan ölçek faktör analizi sonucu 4 boyutta ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre 45 ve yaş üstü katılımcıların sağlık turizmi farkındalık düzeyleri tüm boyutlarda (p=0,000) yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Doktor ve idari kadroda çalışan katılımcıların sağlık turizmi etkileri (p=0,002) boyutundaki farkındalıkları hemşire-ebe ve diğer meslek gruplarına göre daha yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışan birimler baz alındığında poliklinikte görev yapan katılımcıların kurumsal yeterlilik (p=0,004) ve imaj (p=0,001) boyutlarındaki farkındalıkları diğer birimlerde çalışan katılımcılara göre daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Poliklinikte çalışan katılımcıların doktor ağırlıklı olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu durum doktor katılımcıların sağlık turizmi etkileri boyutundaki farkındalığının diğerlerine göre yüksek olduğu sonucuyla paralellik göstermiştir. Tecrübe arttıkça sağlık turizmi bilgisi boyutunda farkındalığın yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmada elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda sağlık bakım hizmeti veren hemşire-ebe, fizyoterapist gibi meslek gruplarının konu ile ilgili daha fazla bilgilendirilmesine ve farkındalıklarının arttırılması için özellikle sağlık turizmi hizmeti veren kurumlarda hizmet içi eğitim kapsamında eğitim verilmesi önerilmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to measure the knowledge and awareness levels of public health personnel providing health services about health tourism, which is gaining importance day by day, to determine the shortcomings and to make suggestions to eliminate them. The study was planned as descriptive and cross-sectional. The data of the study were collected by means of a survey method. The sample size of the research was determined as 367. The study was limited to 311 data due to the inability to reach the sample size determined as 367. The scale used was evaluated in 4 dimensions as a result of factor analysis. According to the results of the study, it was determined that the awareness levels of participants aged 45 and over were higher in all dimensions (p=0.000). It was determined that the awareness of participants working in doctor and administrative staff regarding the impact of health tourism (p=0.002) was higher than that of nurses-midwives and other professional groups. When considered by working units, it was observed that the awareness of participants working in polyclinics was higher than those working in other units in terms of institutional competence (p=0.004) and image (p=0.001) dimensions. It is known that the participants working in polyclinics are predominantly doctors. This situation is parallel with the result that the awareness of doctor participants regarding the impact of health tourism is higher than others. It was observed that awareness in the knowledge dimension of health tourism increased with experience. Based on the data obtained in the study, it has been suggested that health care providers such as nurses-midwives, physiotherapists, etc. be informed more about the subject and in-service training be provided within the scope of health tourism services, especially in institutions that provide health tourism services.
