Hayatın anlamı ve amacı ile yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişkide dini başa çıkmanın aracılık rolünün incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, hayatın anlamı ve amacı ile yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişkide dini başa çıkmanın aracı rolünün incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma, ilişkisel tarama türünde tasarlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 2020-2021 eğitim/öğretim yılında eğitim alan kolayda örnekleme tekniği ile seçilmiş 405 üniversite öğrencisinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma verilerin toplanmasında; "Hayatın anlamı ve amacı ölçeği" yaşam doyumunun saptanmasında "Yaşam Doyumu ölçeği" değişenler arasındaki aracı rolü olarak "Dini Başa Çıkma Ölçeği" ve araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulan Kişisel Bilgi Formu uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın modeli ilişkisel tarama modeli olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın verileri SPSS 21.0 ve AMOS 20.0 programları kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Aracı rolün araştırılmasında Baron ve Kenny (1986)'nin yaklaşımı kullanılmıştır. Aracılık etkisi yapısal eşitlik modeli ile test edilmiştir. Aracı etkinin derecesinin belirlenmesi için Bootstrap güven aralığı değerlerine bakılarak karar verilmektedir (Reutter ve Bigatti, 2014). Araştırmada bootstrap örneklem sayısı 405, güven aralığı %95 olarak belirlenmiştir. Bağımsız değişken tarafından açıklanan varyanstaki azalmanın anlamlılığı Sobel testi ile "http://quantpsy.org/sobel/sobel.htm" web adresi üzerinden hesaplanmıştır. Ölçek puanlarının demografik özelliklere göre karşılaştırılmasında fark testleri kullanılmıştır. İki bağımsız grup arasında niceliksel sürekli verilerin karşılaştırılmasında t-testi, ikiden fazla bağımsız grup arasında niceliksel sürekli verilerin karşılaştırılmasında Tek yönlü (One way) Anova testi kullanılmıştır. Anova testi sonrasında farklılıkları belirlemek üzere tamamlayıcı post-hoc analizi olarak Scheffe testi kullanılmıştır. Mevcut araştırma sonucuna göre, hayatın anlamı ve amacı ile yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişkide dini başa çıkmanın kısmi aracı rolü bulunmaktadır. Model uyum iyiliği indeksleri kabul edilebilir ve iyi uyum indeksleri ile karşılaştırıldığında, kurulan Yapısal Eşitlik Modeli verileri ile uyumlu olduğu ve sınanan modelin doğrulandığı görülmektedir. Ayrıca hayatın anlamı ve amacı, pozitif dini başa çıkma, yaşam doyumu düzeylerinin mezun olunan lise türüne göre: hayatın anlamsızlığı, yaşam doyumu düzeylerinin aile toplam gelirlerine göre: yaşam doyumu düzeyinin cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaştığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Diğer demografik değişkenlerde anlamlı bir şekilde farklılık görülmemektedir.

In this study, it was aimed to examine the mediating role of religious coping in the relationship between the meaning and purpose of life and life satisfaction. The research was designed in relational survey type. The study group of the research consists of 405 university students selected by convenience sampling technique in the 2020-2021 academic year. In the collection of research data; In determining the meaning and purpose of life scale, the "Life Satisfaction Scale", the "Religious Coping Scale" and the Personal Information Form created by the researcher were applied as the mediator role between the variables. The model of the research was determined as the relational screening model. The data of the research were analyzed using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 20.0 programs. The approach of Baron and Kenny (1986) was used to investigate the mediating role. The mediation effect was tested with the structural equation model. To determine the degree of mediating effect, the decision is made by looking at the Bootstrap confidence interval values (Reutter & Bigatti, 2014). In the study, the number of bootstrap samples was determined as 405 and the confidence interval was determined as 95%. The significance of the decrease in the variance explained by the independent variable was calculated using the Sobel test via the website "http://quantpsy.org/sobel/sobel.htm". Difference tests were used to compare the scale scores according to demographic characteristics. The t-test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between two independent groups, and the One-way Anova test was used to compare quantitative continuous data between more than two independent groups. Scheffe test was used as a complementary post-hoc analysis to determine the differences after the Anova test. According to the results of the present research, religious coping has a partial mediating role in the relationship between the meaning and purpose of life and life satisfaction. When the model goodness of fit indices are compared with acceptable and good fit indices, it is seen that it is compatible with the established Structural Equation Model data and the tested model is confirmed. In addition, it was concluded that the meaning and purpose of life, positive religious coping, life satisfaction levels differed significantly according to the type of high school graduated: meaninglessness of life, life satisfaction levels according to family total income: life satisfaction levels differed significantly according to gender. There is no significant difference in other demographic variables.
