Okul müdürlerinin çevik liderlik özellikleri ile okul etkililiği arasındaki ilişki

Abstract

Yapılan bu çalışmada farklı okul kademelerinde farklı branşlarda görev yapan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin çevik liderlik özellikleri ile etkili okul kavramının birlikte incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma nicel bir araştırma olup, ilişkisel tarama modeline göre yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı resmi ilkokul, ortaokul ve lise kurumlarındaki görev yapan toplam 168.165 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu kolay ulaşılır örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak, 605 öğretmenden oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplamak amacı ile araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanan kişisel bilgi formu, Yıldırım ve Ada (2018) tarafından Türkçe' ye uyarlanan "Algılanan Okul Etkililiği Ölçeği (SE-INDEX)" ve Yazıcı ve Özgenel (2020) tarafından geliştirilen "Marmara Çevik Liderlik Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Veriler elektronik olarak toplanmıştır. Veriler t-testi, ANOVA, korelâsyon ve regresyon analizleri yapılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin çevik liderlik özellikleri ile okul etkililiği arasında orta düzeyde ve pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca, öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul yöneticilerinin çevik liderlik stillerinin okul etkililiğinin bir yordayıcısı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin okul etkililiği puanları çalışan okul kademesine göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Okul kademelerinin farklılığı, öğretmenlerin okul müdürlerinin çevik liderlik özelliklerini algılama düzeylerinde farklılık göstermektedir.

In this study, it is aimed to examine the agile leadership characteristics of school principals and the concept of effective school according to the perceptions of teachers working in different branches at different school levels. It is a quantitive research and it is carried out according to survey model. The universe of the research consists of 168,165 teachers working in official primary, secondary and high school institutions affiliated to the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. The study group consists of easily accessible sample from 605 teachers. The personal information form prepared by the researcher, the "Perceived School Effectiveness Scale (SE-INDEX)" adapted to Turkish by Yıldırım and Ada (2018) and the "Marmara Agile Leadership Scale" developed by Yazıcı and Özgenel (2020) are used to gather information. Data are collected electronically. The data are analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analysis. As a result of the research, it is seen that there is a moderate and positive relationship between the agile leadership characteristics of school principals and school effectiveness according to the perceptions of teachers. In addition, according to the perceptions of teachers, it is concluded that the agile leadership styles of school administrators are a predictor of school effectiveness. School effectiveness scores of teachers differ significantly according to the working school level. Differences in school levels differ in teachers' perception levels of school principals' agile leadership characteristics.
