Yönetici ve öğretmenlerin anadilde eğitime ilişkin görüşleri

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, MEB'e bağlı okullarda görevli olan yönetici ve öğretmenlerin anadilde eğitime ilişkin görüşlerinin belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2013-2014 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Üsküdar ilçesinde Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı resmi okullarda görev yapan seçkisiz örneklem ile belirlenen 359 yönetici ve öğretmenden oluşmuştur. Araştırmanın veri toplama aracı kişisel bilgi formu ve anadilde eğitime ilişkin görüşlerin bulunduğu iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Veriler beşli Likert tipi anketle toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin çözümlenmesi SPSS programının PASW 18 versiyonu ile yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere ait frekans ve yüzde dağılımları hesaplanmıştır. Ortalama puanlar arasındaki farkların anlamlılığı test edilirken bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ONE WAY ANOVA) testleri uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada katılımcıların yaş, branş, çalıştığı kurum, doğduğu bölge, büyüdüğü yerleşim yeri, üniversiteyi bitirdiği bölge, anadil ve anadil düzeylerine vermiş oldukları cevaplara göre anlamlı farklılıklar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyet, eğitim durumu, unvan, MEB'deki görev süresi, yöneticilikteki görev süresi, görev yaptığı bölgeler ve bilinen yerel dillere verilen cevaplara göre ise anlamlı bir farklılığın olmadığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ise yönetici ve öğretmenlerin anadilde eğitime ilişkin görüşlerinin olumlu olduğu belirlenmiştir.

The purpose of this study is to determine the ideas and opinions of principals and teachers, who work at public schools governed by Ministry of Education, about education in mother tongue. The study population included random selected 359 principals and teeachers, working at public schools in Üsküdar – İstanbul which are governed by Education of Ministry. The questionnaire used in this study consists of two parts. The first part is used for personal information and the second part is used the gather information about the ideas and opinions of the participants about education in mother tongue. The data were applied through the five point Likert-type questionnaire. The analysis of the data gathered, was made by PASW 18 Statistics version of the SPSS program. The frequency and the percantage of the data gathered though the scales was calculated. T-test and One Way Anova tests werw applied to test the significance of average points. The participants' answers of the study showed that; age, branch, work institution, birtplace, magic that residential location, finished university place, mother tongue and maothertongue level significant differences. There were no significant differences about other options. The results of the study revealed that the managers and teachers have positive attitude towards education in mother tongue.
