Öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesi (İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi örneği)

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının çeşitli değişkenler açısından incelenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesinde pedagojik formasyon eğitimine devan eden toplam 136 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Üstüner (2006) tarafından geliştirilen Öğretmenlik Mesleğine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonunda öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyet, mezun olunan üniversite türü ve yaş değişkenlerine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşmadığı, öğretmenlik mesleğine yönelik tutumlarının öğretmenlik mesleğini tercih nedenine, mezun olunan lisans programına, medeni duruma, Türkiye’de öğretmenlik mesleğinin saygın bir meslek olarak algılanıp algılanmama durumuna göre ise farklılaştığı saptanmıştır.

The purpose of this research is examining prospective teachers' attitudes towards teaching profession in terms of various variables. The research was conducted in the “İlişkisel Tarama” model. The sample of the study is consisted of 136 prospective teachers that study in pedagojical formation program at İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. The tool that are used for data collection were “Personal Information Form” and “Scale of Attitudes toward Teaching Profession” that are developed by Üstüner (2006). In the analysis of the data, SPSS package program was applied. At the end of the research, it is found that the attitudes of prospective teachers towards teaching profession did not differ significantly in terms of gender, type of university that are graduated and age. But, the attitudes of prospective teachers towards teaching profession showed a significant difference in terms of the reason for choosing teaching profession, the degree program that are graduated, marital status and perception of the teaching profession as a respectable profession.
