Okulların fiziksel yapısına yönelik öğrenci görüşleri

Abstract

Bu araştırmada, farklı tür ve kademede öğrenim gören öğrencilerin, okullarının fiziksel yapılarına yönelik görüşlerini belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusundaki verilerin elde edilmesi için nicel araştırma modeli kapsamında yer alan betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmaya 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul ili, Üsküdar ilçesinde öğrenim gören 569 öğrenci katılmış olup bunların yüzde 50.3’ü kız, yüzde 49.7’si ise erkektir. Araştırma kapsamında veri toplamak okulların fiziki yapısının eğitim ve öğretim açısından uygunluğu ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre öğrencilerin okul bahçelerini yetersiz olarak görmektedir. Öğrenciler okul içerisinde en çok tuvaletlerin yetersizliğinden, okul dışında ise okul kantininin uygun olmamasından şikâyet etmektedir. Bulgulara genel olarak bakıldığında, yaş ilerledikçe okula yönelik eleştirilerin arttığı görülmektedir. Dolayısıyla en olumlu görüş ilkokul öğrencilerindedir. İlkokul öğrencilerine en yakın yakın görüş ortaokul öğrencilerindedir. İmam hatip ortaokulu öğrencileri görüş açısından daha çok lise öğrencilerine benzemektedir. Lise türleri arasında ise bir farklılık bulunmamaktadır.

The aim of this study was to determine students’ opinions of the physical structures of their schools in different types and grade levels. In this descriptive survey study data was collected via questionnaire. 569 students from the Uskudar district of Istanbul participated in the study during 2017-2018 academic year. In the scope of the research, the data collection scale of the physical structure of schools was used in terms of education and training scale. According to the findings of the study students thinks that school yards are insufficient and not suitable for their needs. Students complain about the inadequacy of the toilets in the school and the lack of school canteen. When we look at the findings in general, it is seen that the criticism towards schools’ physical features increases as age progresses. Therefore, the most positive opinion is in primary school students. The closest view to the primary school students is in the secondary school students. Imam hatip secondary school students are more similar to high school students. There is no difference between students’ perspectives attending various high school types.
