AKP ve CHP'nin kadına karşı şiddete yaklaşımları

Abstract

Bu çalışma Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi (AKP) ile Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi’nin (CHP) kadına karşı şiddet konusuna nasıl yaklaştığı üzerinedir. İki parti de kadına karşı şiddet sorununun çözülmesini istemektedir. AKP hükümet partisi olarak değişimler yaratmakta, ancak sıklıkla ana muhalefet partisi CHP’nin eleştirilerine maruz kalmaktadır. Partilerin yaklaşımları arasındaki en büyük farklılık, AKP’nin kadınların aile içi görevlerine, CHP’nin ise kadının bireyliğine dikkat çekmesidir. Parti programları, parti içi yayınlar (AKP için Türkiye Bülteni, CHP için Halk), gazetelerdeki (Yeni Şafak Gazetesi ve Cumhuriyet Gazetesi) yaklaşımlar genelde birbirine benzemekte, ideolojik farklılıklar özellikle röportajlarda görülmektedir. AKP’de kadına karşı şiddetin nedenini dini eğitim eksikliğine veya erkeklerin şiddet göstermesine neden olan kadınlara bağlayanlar vardır. CHP’lilerse şiddetin nedenini islamcı zihniyete ve AKP’ye bağlamaktadır. AKP ve CHP kadına karşı şiddet sorununu çözmek için beraber çalışmamakta, diğer problemli alanlarda olduğu gibi bu alanda da ana muhalefet partisi CHP hükümet partisi AKP’yi devamlı eleştirmektedir. AKP sorunun çözümüne dair özellikle son dönemde ilerlemeler kaydetmiştir ve kadınlar bu ilerlemelerin günlük hayattaki uygulamalarını beklemektedir.

This paper is on how the Justice and Development Party (JDP) and the Republican People’s Party (RPP) approach the subject of violence against women. Both of the parties want the problem of violence against women to be solved. Being in the office, the JDP makes positive changes but receives the main opposition party the RPP’s constant criticism. The main difference between the approaches of the two political parties is that the JDP draws attention to the roles of women within families wheres the RPP to the individuality of women. The approaches we see through party programs, party publications (Türkiye Bülteni for the JDP, Halk for the RPP) and the daily newspapers (Yeni Şafak Gazetesi and Cumhuriyet Gazetesi) are generally the same. We notice the ideological differences particularly through the interviews. In the JDP, some politicians think that the cause of the violence against women is the lack of religious formation or the women who render men violent. In the RPP, politicians rather think that the cause of the violence against women is the islamist mentality and the JDP. The two parties do not work together to solve the problem, and the main opposition party the RPP critiques the JDP government constantly. The JDP has recently realized progress towards the solution of the problem, and women cannot wait to see the implementations of the progress in their daily lives.
