Kentlerde öğrenciler için ev ile okul arasındaki ulaşım imkânlarının iyileştirilmesi

Abstract

Kırdan kente göç sonucu oluşan hızlı kentleşme sosyoekonomik sorunlara ve altyapı yetersizliklerine neden olmuştur. Hızlı kentleşme sonucunda ortaya çıkan nüfus artışı ve yoğunluğu beraberinde trafik güvenliği problemini de getirmiştir. Güvensiz kent trafiğinden etkilenen gruplardan biri olan çocuklar, okul yolunda trafik kazalarına maruz kalmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmanın öncelikli amacı okul rotası kavramını betimlemektir. Ayrıca, evden okula yürüyerek giden çocuklar için belirlenen güzergâhı ifade eden okul rotası kavramı, okul yolunu ve yolculuğunu güvenli kılmaya hizmet etmesi bakımından önemlidir. Çalışmada, farklı ülkelerin benzer uygulamalarının incelemesi yapılarak güvenli okul yolu rotası oluşturulduğunda okul yolunda gerçekleşen kazaların azaldığına işaret edilecektir. Ayrıca, okul yolunun güvenli kılınması noktasında çocuklara birbirleriyle ve çevreleriyle sağlıklı, güveli iletişim kuracakları bir sosyal alan yaratılacağı örneklerle tartışılacaktır.

Rapid urbanization as a result of migration from the rural to the urban has resulted in socioeconomic problems and inadequacies of groundwork. Population growth and intensity arising as a result of rapid urbanization have also brought about the problem of traffic safety. Children, one of the groups affected by unsafe city traffic, are exposed to traffic accidents on the road to school. The primary purpose of this study is to describe the school route concept. In addition, the school route concept, which expresses the route determined for children who walk from home to school, is important in terms of serving the school route and making the journey safe. In the study, it will be pointed out that accidents on the road to school are reduced when a safe school route is created by examining similar applications of different countries. It will also be discussed with examples of creating a social space where children will communicate with each other and with their surroundings when a safe school path is established.
