Analysis of the determinants of rubber export volume from Indonesia

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Endonezya'da kauçuk ihracatına yönelik belirleyici faktörleri incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu araştırmada kullanılan veriler, 1980'den 2018'e kadar olan yıllık verilerdir. Burada, hacim ihracatı (VE) bağımlı değişkendir ve bağımsız değişkenler kauçuk fiyatı, döviz kuru, kauçuk hacim üretimi ve Endonezya'nın enflasyon oranını içerir. Bu araştırma, Otoregresif Dağıtılmış Gecikme (ARDL) ve sınır eşbütünleşme tekniklerini kullandı. Bağlı test çıktısı, kauçuk hacim ihracatı (VE), kauçuk fiyatı, döviz kuru, kauçuk hacim üretimi ve Endonezya'nın enflasyon oranı arasında uzun vadeli bir denge ilişkisinin varlığını açıkladı. Bu çalışmanın nihai sonucu, kısa vadeli ve uzun vadeli hesaplamalarda eş zamanlı olarak ihracat hacmine yönelik en önemli belirleyicinin değişken hacimli üretim olmasıdır. Kauçuk ihracatının hacmini bir miktar etkileyen diğer belirleyiciler yurt içi fiyat ve döviz kurudur, ancak her ikisinin de uzun vadeli tahminlerde önemli bir etkisi olurken, kısa vadede değişkenin önemli bir etkisi yoktur. Aksine, faiz oranının sadece kısa vadeli tahminde önemli bir etkisi vardır.

This study aims to investigate the determinants factors towards rubber volume export in Indonesia. The data used in this research is annual data starting from 1980 to 2018. Where volume export (VE) is the dependent variable, and the independent variables include rubber price, exchange rate, rubber volume production, and Indonesia's inflation rate. This research employed Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) and bounds cointegration techniques. The bound test output explained the existence of a long-run equilibrium relationship between rubber volume export (VE), rubber price, exchange rate, rubber volume production, and Indonesia's inflation rate. The final outcome of this study is that the most significant determinant towards the export volume in the short-term and long-term calculations simultaneously is the variable volume production. Other determinants that were slightly affecting the volume of rubber exports are the domestic price and the exchange rate, but both of them only have a significant effect in the long-run estimate, while in the short-run, the variable has no significant effect. On the contrary, the inflation rate only has a significant effect on the short-run estimate.
